Just taken the time to look at our semi final programme from 2011 and there is a big feature on Fabrice in there - detailing his involvement in their FA Cup successes and expressing that he is held in high esteem in the England U21 set up.
I have to admit that I didn't know too much about him until this dreadful incident on Saturday, but now having learned of his achievements to date, both on and off the football pitch - it has become clear just how well liked he is as a player.
I have also been very impressed by Owen Coyle in trying to manage such a difficult situation with both the media and everyone involved at Bolton Wanderers.
The Guardian earlier today "We are all after the same objective: to see that lovely young man, who has such a fantastic smile. That's what we want to see again," said his manager, Owen Coyle, who has remained at the hospital with Muamba. "When you look through what he's come through in his life already, he's a natural fighter. Also, he's a physically fit young man so I think those two things will be a source of help and encouragement."
Our thoughts and prayers remain with all his family, friends and colleagues as they try to come to terms with the events at the weekend and through the difficult times ahead.

Couldnt agree more about owen coyle, gone well up in my expectations and conducted himself very well. We should leave the owen coyle songs behind IMO and all the football family join together to sing fabrice name when we meet them later in the season. Keep on fighting fabrice we're all behind you!

Just written a bit for this week's Oatie on Fabrice Muamba.
Found it very hard to be honest, even 200 words. What has shone through for me is what a superb person Owen Coyle is. Acted with the utmost grace. And also what a role model Muamba is.
I hope they stay in the FA Cup and win it.
