Just out of interest? Who, on here, thinks we WILL go down? Not might do or possibly- who actually thinks, and will stick there neck out, we WILL go down like Hull did a few years back. Strong position afeter Xmas then dropped like a preverbial brick? Looking at it now, we are only 10 points clear of the drop zone. Im intrigued?? Thanks

Luckily this year there are quite a few worse teams than us, if the league replicated last seasons we would be struggling.

Ironically I think our away form is enough to keep us from trouble. We look scared stiff at home.

Thats like saying good job there are 18 worse clubs than man city else they would find themselves in a relegation battle ever thought we are better than them teams and dont deserve go down?

Why am I an arse for askin a question? I thought that what forums were for? I am merely gauging a response from Stoke fans and finding their views on a worrying situation? Thanks for your answer but your extra imput was not required!

Not even a remote possibility.
Two more wins and we'll probably be safe.
That doesn't mean we shouldn't be that bothered about the league as some have intimated.

Just looked at the fixtures, maybe 2 points away at wigan andQPR
The home ones more promising with swansea, norwich , ,wolves and bolton
the next 2 home games are must win v Swansea & Norwich
Maybe 42 points 6 points clear of 3rd bottom

the last 3 seasons were about staying in the league. Pulis admitted that. And we did.
This season was meant to be the start of the next 'plan' but we've gone backwards, after investing yet more money in the squad.
We won't go down, but this season will go down as a complete failure regardless of how we do in the cups, because the league must always come first.

You can get odds of 40-1 from Coates gang. In betting terms that a very long shot indeed. Its likely however we will be some way short of last seasons points total. Is that progress?

This time last season we were on the same points total and 11th. We were also having a poor run this time last year. What a coincidence, we concentrate on the cups and our Prem form suffers. Big deal.

Fair do's- everyone entitled to an opinion but please explain why it is a stupid question? As for the 'worrying' factor. It is a worry that we are looking so bad and certainly, for the first time in the Prem- WEAK? Definitely this year we are too predictable and are being easily sussed? Of course we will lose games but it is the manner we are losing, especially at home? Do you not feel it yourself StokieMatt? or are you happy with our performances this season?
My personal opinion is I think we will be in the mix in a very short time. Not being nagative, nor am I a Pulis hater etc. I feel the next game we will get nowt and the next two home games will be a struggle. I can see Swansea and Norwich giving us a game and a point out those two games is all I can see coming our way- PERSONALLY. My opinion! This will leave us very close and a gap forming in mid-table. March's fixtures are cruel to say the least. Something needs to change and FAST!

We're not in any danger of relegation. Ignore the doom and gloom merchants and enjoy the best times in Stoke City's history

Everyone seems to blame the cup competitions for poor performances....but if you ask any player, they would rather play than not...look at Super Jon!! he has been virtually an everpresent but still does the Duracell Bunny trick....and its not his fault he aint scoring is it??? If you get played on the wing and run up and down it all game...then how can you get in the box?
No gents, its pretty obvious that we have been shite for some time and we have totally lost all cohesion in the team. I dont hate TP I am not a PHW...and I will not call for his head........not yet!!!! But if I saw in the news tomorrow that he had stepped down....I dont think I would be sad......I mean we cant play any bloody worse than we are right now can we????

Are you really trying to suggest that our recent run of poor form in the league is down to concentrating on two cup games against League 2 opposition and another one against a Championship team who struggle to score goals? Have a day off man.

For what its worth I think we will go down I don't see us getting 40 points and while I think the bottom 2 might struggle To get 35 plus I fancy third from bottom will need. 40 , it's why for some tome I've said I see Bolton home as likely to be a £40 million shoot out .
By which time we will be in panic mode and the flow of momentum currently Building against us will be in full swing after defeats at Chelsea, spurs, Newcastle, and Fulham .

The sooner we win 3 games the happier I'll be.
I think were safe but the longer we play this negative binary shite the more I worry.

Of course we should be safe, but not as straight forward as it could of been. But:-
Next we have Fulham who can be sensationa on their day at home Then Swansea after 3 quick games in succession, culimating with a game abroad
Then Norwich, which is a key one because after that we 3 games where we will be big underdogs and even a point from them will be a good result.
Then we have Wigan away where we have never won.........................
And then it is April ;D

We'll definitely stay up, our form has been patchy all season, good run bad run good run bad run, we're on a bad run at moment but i;m sure we'll have another decent period at some point this season and we'll finish comfortably in mid table, prob miss out on a top half finish again though.
