I think he's a starter on Sunday. Looked much fitter than when he joined us..... and plays in black boots!! Not that I doubted TP but a fit Palacios is miles better than any other midfielder at the club.

Played 10 minutes anmd played more through balls than any of our center midfielders have all season.

Very promising performance tonight from him. Brilliant ball through for Jones there didn't look like there was enough space to get it through.

Agree. Him and Whitehead should be our first choice. I thought Deano had a fine game tonight.

Reminded me a bit of the pass Marc Wilson made on his debut.

Agree. Him and Whitehead should be our first choice. I thought Deano had a fine game tonight. Whitehead isn't as bad as some make out, and is great as a harrier of opponents, but I'd prefer Delap (when H) and Whelan (when A) as the other CM when Palacios is fully fit.

I like Deano but thought he wasn't that great tonight.
For me Rory (and probably Whelan) are still ahead of him in the pecking order.

Strange how people percieve differently. ;D I thought he ran the show in midfield and actually passed it well. But then what would the world be without differing opinions.

Salif did another unsung job tonight. He broke up play and rarely wasted a pass. I can see why Pulis referred to Salif as the best midfielder at the club.

Oof, the Salif love needs to end. He was adequate. A pound store plug, nowt more. WP looked like Diao1000 even unfit. He's a good servant to the club but we should be looking for better.

Wilson got a chant or song yet? "Wilson Palacios, Wilson Palacios Wilson Palacios, Wilson Palacios" In the style of "Ricardo Fuller, Ricardo Fuller...." Simple, effective. Like me apart from i'm not effective. Just throwing it out there see if anyone fancies it

Deano really shouldn't be anywhere near our starting 11 While it was probably Whitehead's best game, he had it easy tonight, he won't play against a midfield as soft as that in the premiership. I agree with the reply, he simply isn't up to Premiership standard. Whelan will be a better partner for Palacios and/or Delap.

I'd want the exact same line up but I get the feeling its either WP or Whelan (don't know why, just do), if it was a choice between Delap or Whitehead I'd go for Delap even though I think he should be getting fazed out this season.

Tbh the moment he is match fit and is a starter for games we are going see an improvement to a stoke squad that has improved constantly, Pulis is keeping all of his promises up till now!

When fit he is the best CM at the club by a country mile. I still think he is the best of our summer signings and the through ball for KJ tonight was brilliant and adds a lot to our game. I cannot fucking wait until he's Stoke fit and playing every game n

I was trying to figure out what was weird about him when he came on and (as OP points out) it was the black boots. Is he the only one?

Whelan has done ok of late but isn't capable of the kind of balls we saw in the brief cameo from Palacios last night. Would go with Delap or Whitehead to partner him when fit. Palacios is a huge upgrade on Whelan.
