The Aussies seem to be the new Yanks in goalkeeping terms. Just like the Yanks a few years ago the Aussies are supplying keepers to loads of clubs around Europe
Off the top of my head I can think of five academies sporting keepers from Oz. The most famous was Dean Bouzanis at Liverpool. Proclaimed by Benitez as the best keeper in the world in his age group after a couple of trial sessions. He was released by Dalglish in the summer and is now second or third choice at Sydney I think.
I guess some of it must be to do with their own too sports being ball and hand orientated. It is certainly to do with the sports Academy set up they have. They produce and Market players very well. We won't have required a scout in Oz. They will have found us.
Hell of a gamble if the foreign keeper armada have moved here without guaranteed pro deal involved. I have to say I wouldn't do it particularly as nearly every other club would throw in pro terms to attract foreign academy recruits.
Good luck to them and let's hope we can save ourselves a lot of money ( or make some) further down the road.

Only played first 45 and a bit of the 2nd.
Defence didn't half much to do. First goal was quick lob through and chip from striker, second goal was Dale Eve booted it at the strikers arse and it rolled in.

I've just been the gym and there were fucking shit loads of Stoke youth teamers. We've surely had a massive recruitment drive? Teaming with the little beggers! Actually, most of them were massive.

We seem to looking worldwide for youth players; Linus Sjöberg is a Swedish U17 international from Västeraas IK and Omar Holness is the captain of Jamaica's U17
