So today the new intake of scholars has officially been announced and there seems to be some decent additions on paper. The new lads are ; Dale Eve (First year)- a Bermudan goalkeeper who looked very raw in the game I saw him but seemed to have decent natural ability. Joseph Debayo (First year)- a centre back according to the Sentinel and official site and was with Chelsea. I asked the Chelsea youth fella on Twatter what he thought of him and he can't remember him and doesn't think he was at Chelsea last year. ;D Ryan O'Reilly (First year)- a left footed centre half. An Irish U-16 international so has a bit of pedigree about him Immanuel Parry (Second year)-another centre back, if he was signed for the first team the term "dogs home" would be used I think. Released by Millwall, seemingly rejected by Southend and then rocks up with us. Smajl Suljevic (Second year)-another centre back allegedly. When we were first linked it said he was a central midfielder. I watched a game he played for his side Dalkurd and he was up front (and has been all season despite what The Sentinel says) so God knows where he'll play. Marcel Barrington (First year)-not a centre back-Yay! A striker from Charlton according to the Sentinel. Jamar Dobson (second year) is a striker who the Sentinel and Official site reckon came from Palace. He was at Palace but a quick google search suggests his last club was Cambridge United so God knows! Karim Rossi (second year)- a Swiss youth international striker from Grasshoppers. Sounds exciting just because his name is Rossi. www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/Stoke-City-Bermuda-Bermondsey-Stoke-s-class-2011/story-12890993-detail/story.htmlwww.stokecityfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10310~2387269,00.html And added to that might be an Austrian 'keeper called Daniel Bachmann who have agreed a 300k fee for from Austria Vienna. And Trevor Mutero a Zimbabwean midfielder who was at Reading. So the squad currently is as follows; GK Daniel Bachmann GK Dale Eve CB Jordan Galloway LB Andrew Hall RB Connor Roberts-Nurse DF Craig Sinclair CB/CM/ST Smajl Suljevic CB Immanuel Parry CB Joseph Debayo CB Ryan O'Reilly CM Allen Bossman CM Michael Clarkson CM Lucas Dawson CM Travis Gray CM Unpha Koroma CM Jordan Richardson LW Andrew Musungu RW/ST Tunji Agbaje FW Ryan Brunt FW Sam Whitehurst FW Karim Rossi FW Marcel Barrington FW Jamar Dobson First YearSecond Year Third YearSo good luck to them and lets hope we do better this year than last!

Some interesting additions - even if at first team level we are only looking at established British players, it seems we are casting our net a bit wider with the "kiddies"!

It makes sense. TP's "problem" has never been with overseas players, just the ones who have not yet proved themselves in England.
If we can can develop those players ourselves and get them used to the "Stoke" way so much the better.

In your opinion bayern, who do you think has ''got the minerals' and will be the ones to watch next season?

Going off what I saw of them last year I'd say the best shot goes to Lucas Dawson. He's just a good central midfielder, who can pass, works ard and did a decent job when I watched.
But if I had to pin my colours to one of them (who haven't got a pro deal already, some will) to get a pro deal then it'd be Ryan Brunt. I never saw him play mind but from I've heard of him he has every attribute wanted by TP in a striker. If he can stay injury free and have a big season, it'll be good for us I reckon.
They are the 2 for me who stand out of the ones I know of.

Bayern, you missed Bachmann, or did he not sign?

I presumed he hasn't signed yet because he's not mentioned in either The Sentinel or Official Site report. Mentioned him though, when/if becomes clearer as to what's going on there.
Do You know where Alabi has rocked up at yet?

Ah, so he did end up there, it'll be interesting to see he how he does really. I still don't think he's owt special despite the goals he scored, he did seem to have that knack though of finding the net which is always good.

Does anybody know much about Tunji Agbaje? Thought I'd read somewhere that he was really banging goals in for fun or did I dream it all?

It is Bermudian and Bermuda is not in the Caribbean!!! I will check with my mates over there in football circles (I lived there for 4 yrs and captained one of the main teams) to see how well thought of young Dale is.
