Yup loads of options, we could hoof it long we could play the long ball we could use the 'hopeful punt' technique we could kick it as far as possible into the oppositions half See, loads of options...

So according to some we're doomed without Tuncay. Superb player, game changer, no spark of creativity without him in the side.
Minutes on the pitch during the games we have won this season:
Villa (0) Newcastle (0) Blackburn (0) Birmingham (0) Liverpool (0) WBA (80) Blackburn (0) Everton (30) Bolton (90)
We've hardly struggled to win games without him*
*cue loads of posts claiming "imagine where we would be if Pulis had used him properly"... it's all bollocks. He's inconsistent, always has been and always will be. If we was so good his list of English clubs wouldn't include Middlesbrough and Stoke.

Must say I'm not that arsed really. He had plenty of chances and quite frankly often flattered to decieve, maybe he doesn't suit our style of play.
Lets all remember where we came from and who got us here.
Everyone is entitled to there opinion but derogative fuck you pullis and likewise childish comments are laughable.
Good luck tunny. Tony will pull out a blinder. Again!!!

I take it that's 9,999 left then..... You seem quite pleased he's gone taz? Bit strange considering that in a post not so long ago you were using his backheel as a shining exaple of 'how good' our 'football' is at times? Btw, not being funny mate, but the red cards thing was tiresome about a year ago and yet you still persist with it despite no-one else finding it remotely funny or interesting, please find summat else eh?

I aint pleased he's gone but considering he has then it's perhaps for the best of Stoke City football club if both himself and Pulis didn't see eye to eye. Good player and a shame it hasn't worked out. For as long as Waddo sticks to the abuse, sends me PM's and spout absolute tripe then i'll continue to bring up the failed red card demo.

The Sidibe / Tuncay comments are daft - Might as well compare Tuncay and Sir Stan !
Mama DID a great job for us bit he's not Premiership standard and hasnt really ever been - He has done nowt at all for 18 months now and is getting on.
Tuncay offered us something different and HAS something still to offer. To sell him and not replace him at this delicate stage of the season seems, frankly, daft. Lets also not forget that Carew hasnt scored this season at all either !
I have always been a Pulis fan but how anyone can not see selling Tunc and not properly replacing him as at the very least disappointing is a blinkered, gullible, fool.

Just what on earth goes through Pulis' head?
He's keeping two useless lumps that will probably get minimal game time between now and the rest of the season because they're both incredibly unfit and are useless in his rigid 'system' now.
So we have the Pulis dream partnership of Jones and Carew to look forward to for the rest of the season. Brilliant. That will only spell one thing and that's the return of the incredibly mind numbingly boring binary hoofball season. He'll go all out and have Delap on the wing with Fuller and Pennant permanently benched whilst Salif Diao will be cutting up the turf around the d with his late tackling. Huth will return to right back with Abdoulaye Faye coming in at centre half and the hapless Collins shepherding his imaginary sheep whilst wingers fly past him and bear down on goal.
Nevertheless, we'll scrape a few nil nils away from home and we might get a few deflections from some long throws and we'll stay up and pray for a decent summer window only to find that we'll be starting with Mama upfront on his own with 2 solid banks behind him consisting of centre halves and veteran central midfielders.
Onwards and upwards with this revolutionary brand of imaginary and creative hoofthrowball inspired by Dr Pulis.
HOOOOOOF!

A sad indictment of Pulis that he hadn't got a clue what do do with this highly talented footballer. And a shame for Tuncay that he's just wasted the last 18 months of his career.

How anyone in their right mind can say that Sidibe/Walters would/could have done in the last 5 games what Tuncay has done is plain stupid.
Tuncay is a class player who can create chances from nothing. Man Citeh at home, the cross for United at Old Trafford, the superb goal agsint United at home to name but three of the flashes of genius that none of our other players could or can do.
Its a terrible decision to sell especially when you add into the equation that we have not replaced him.
He is also adequate cover on the left for Etherington should he get injured. Who do we put there now if he gets injured or tired during a game????
People on here who use stats of games won with him not playing need to get a footballing education.
How many games have Man United won this season without Rooney? How many games have Arsenal won this season without Van Persie?
I'm not likening his abiliy of those players but to use silly, stupid stats like the one used earlier in this thread is of idiot status.
He is a great loss and time without him will prove how valuable he is to the squad and more importantly to the first 11.
A wasted talent, sold for an amount little more than what we paid for Danny Collins.
Nuff said.

Most people moaning about Tuncays departure, but is he really that much of a loss. He hasn't really had a good run in the team, and i do feel sorry for him because he is a good player. But stoke fans act as if it is the end of the world, but we are tenth in the premier league in are 3 season and most of that's been without him. But tuncay wants to go, so 4.5 million for a player who wants to go, a player who hasn't really done much at stoke, is good deal.
Its frustrating that it doesn't look like were signing another striker but I'm sure we will in the summer.
TP hasn't let us down yet so keep the faith !!

I will try to be the voice of reason.
Loved Tuncay, his passion and ability to excite when he got on the ball was a breath of fresh air.
But he still didnt quite do enough did he?? The player we all wanted him to be didnt quite materialise, and if his tantrums affected the dressing room in any way then maybe its best all round if he moves on. I dont hold with the fact he didnt have a chance to shine, he had plenty of chances but flattered to deceive. If he was as great as some on here think he would have 20 goals now and I assure you TP would play him every week.
It will irritate some, but John Carew may just suit our team better, and lets not forget what a good player he has been at his level for some time.
