I'm losing it here. Diao plays against Newcastle, as an attacking threat we are absolutely non existent, stink the place out and go into half time a goal down. He comes off, the bloke who replaces him turns the game around, we start to play a bit of football and win the game 2-1 and we're somehow expected to think that he played a part in us getting three points? So the whole teams poor performance was down solely to Diao? He had a job to do and he did it well. It's just a shame the other 10 players were off You, stokelad84, are quite literally insane.

I'd be happy with Diao if he plays like he did at Newcastle.

Diao is and always has been dreadful. In fact, he's not even a has-been. One or two of the Liverpool boys seem to 'rate' him as the club's worst ever player.

That salif diao can play for Liverpool in Europe but can not do a job for Stoke City for 45 Min's then you are choosing to distance yourself from the truth, come on seriously??

Whoever plays its time to get behind them all instead of forecasting who will be shite etc Be sure, we'll get behind them all whoever plays, even if TP plays both Whelan and Diao from start on sunday. We're just discussing the Stoke City future and what's required re. quality to move forward.

If you look at the match day thread, you'll see my team for sunday: Sorro Huth Shaws Faye Collins Pennant Delap Wilson Ethers Fuller (if fit) If Fuller not fit, then TuncayJones I'm absolutely NOT prepared to join the SOC!

Sentinel are going quite big on Diao and penciling him in.
Pulis: "He would be a good pick because he can handle the occasion. You know he's a player you can bring in to do an important job, even if he's been out for a while"
