Maybe not him, but as I used to get tickets last minute on match day back in the quitterall and early pulls days I used to sit right at the front of the boothen near to a loud cockney bloke. I always found the occasional 'black b******' he'd throw at stoke players and the occasional game where'd he spend half the game spitting on the floor a bit uncomfortable to be honest.
Fair enough, I wouldn't say anything to him as I was a young lad. I probably still wouldn't if I'm honest, I'd rather someone I don't know be offended verbally than risk a fight and be barred/lose my job. But if I have kids one day and take them to games, I certainly wouldn't be pointing him out as a 'legend' whether he loves Stoke and helps out fellow supporters or not.

Just caught a train up from Euston with Ted & introduced him to my wife, her parents & my daughter on our way back from Paris.
Not surprisingly, he was his usual sociable self & I don't recall anyone including my 12 year old daughter being offended.

Good lad, along with his fellow cockney Steve and his bunch Benno, Stan etc, proper old skool Stokies, too old fight but still like the buzz of following Stoke all over the country. Talking of Cockneys, does Cockney Darren still go? Not seen him for a few years? Cockney Darren, what ever happend to him? And Mark too from the same kinda era

He's a proper dad now, (arnt we all) & takes his kids to watch his 1st love chelsea. Some of the lads are still in touch & see him when they're in London. I havnt seen Mark since palace away in the days before ID cards, but I don't get out much!!!

Cockneys Darren and Mark. Now that's a blast from the past.
I first saw Darren when a boring pre-season Saturday afternoon was livened up a bit by attending the Vale v Birmingham friendly in Burslem around 85 I think. He had the same hair style as me at the time - a Chris Waddle style mullet, permed at the back - bloody hell!

Someone resembling the description of Ted and a couple of his mates (one young and one old) sat behind me at the West Ham Ric slap away game a few years ago. I was with my better half (who's a Hammer) and I had to put up with some of the most embarrassing, crass bollocks I've ever heard from a Stoke fan. Whoever, this person was (and it may not have been our mate Ted) is a prat and I was ashamed to be supporting the same team as him that day. As I've said, whoever he was...........

Cockney Mark. I remember him in the 80s though, cant describe him but he wasn't very tall like I am called StokeMark because I was mates with Cockney Mark in the late 80's when I lived in Streatham, SE London. I think he still goes to games in London - not sure if he still knows ''Millwall Paul' ;-)
