fantastic goalkeeper and considering capello picks people on form, how he wasnt number one in s.africa i will never know! who knows what might have been but i will say now with him in the sticks we would have beaten usa, and he would have saved at least 2 of the goals against germany

Very solid and confident performance and could possibly make himself first choice for England. However, I could see that for myself and I really did NOT need Andy Cunting Townsend to keep fucking telling me what I could see with my own eyes. We all might not have become professional footballers in our lives, but credit the fans with some sense you patronising twat. It's like Townsend wants to build the lad up for a fall.

Englands No.1 for the next 10/12 years. Commanding, composed, supremely confident and thoughtful with distribution. After the dross of the last few years (Carson,Green,Foster,Robinson) looks like our troubles could be over. Potentially our best keeper since the immortal Gordon Banks

How did he not get a game at the WC is beyond me been the obvious choice for like 2 years now but wouldn't you know as soon as he gets in the Citeh team he gets the number 1 spot Capello is wank, Hart though great only conceded 1 goal in 4 games for Citeh the year and it was a penalty, great save tonight, can't knock him

I never feel confident when it comes to England goalkeepers but I feel lucky that we have a young quality English goalkeeper. Well done Joe.

Joes a brilliant 'keeper and was faultless tonight.
Should be No1 regardless of age.
Best 'keeper we have by a country mile.

Brilliant keeper, he should win a huge amount of England caps in the future. I just hope the media don't try make him out to be the country's messiah and he ends up wank ala Rooney. (In international terms.)

hopefully he will be our and Englands number one for the next ten years , to be compared to Gordon Banks as an earlier post suggested is high praise indeed , so glad Hughes got the boot otherwise we would have lost him . MCFC

I still dont know how he saved faye's header at the Brit last season. I think he made at least 3 world class saves that day

MCFC I said potentially as good as Gordon Banks....to do that he must keep the No.1 spot for 10 years and help England win something. Thats a big ask but he has more chance than dopes like Rob Green

The Birmingham loan deal did him a lot of good. At Man City he was good but was a bit suspect when it came to commanding his area and coming for crosses, to the extent that they brought in Shay Given. At Birmingham he got a full season and picked up an awful lot. You could have seriously been talking about Birmingham as a team in the midst of a relegation fight last season without Hart.

For all the money you've spent on attackers, I get the feeling that the guy you've brought through your youth academy is going to be the player who makes the difference between underachievement and a top four finish.

Hart is special mate. You can have the greatest players in the world up front but if your keeper drops a lot of bollocks it dispirits the rest of the team. Any great team has a keeper who commands the box. For me Hart is the best young keeper (world wide) since Iker Casillas burst onto the scene
