If religious people believe in the law because of their religion, if it was conclusively proved tomorrow that there's absolutely no God, would all these religious people suddenly have to reason to have any morals and go around raping eachother like chimps? I'm talking about average-Joe here, not the vatican And that s why footy forums should not discuss religion

It genuinely riles me up when people make claims like "anybody who is religious in this day and age must be a retard" And on a previous episode ....... Those rehashed, nonsense arguments with no reasoning are always used because it's the cool and fashionable thing to say, but they're generally used by people who don't have two brain cells to rub together P.S. Calm the fuck down ya big girl.

I don't really buy into the evolution crap, the main reason is that it's boring. But the Bible is just full of Horse shit. I think that we are all like ants and we are contained in a glass box where a big super race of people laugh at our misfortunes. Evolution is boring? That's a statement you really have to back up

Believe or not, if everyone lived their lives believing in God we would be living in a far better world. And when the time comes you'll all believe It's just that alot of people like to act supreme Which God ? There's loads to choose from. ;D

Some, 'God', has just saved my Grandaughter from dying, but, it must be the same God, has given her cysts on her brain that will lead to cerebral palsy. Work that one out. God moves in mysterious ways ? Yes god does, whilst science tries to sort out gods mistakes.

This is my ten pence on the whole religion, god debate.
In my opinion God/religion is for most that believe in it a safety net. If they have problems be it whatever then god/religion is always there to help. On the whole it helps people through times of desperate need. Someone also mentioned earlier about an elderly family member believing that she will see her friends an family who have passed. Now she isn't the only one, this I think I due to the subconscious thought that it can't be scientifically proven what happens after death so therefore sonething far superior to ourselves must be at work. Same goes with the thought if the world being created. How can a planet be formed so perfectly for life form without design design?
Now I honestly don't believe in a god or religion but I do think reincarnation happens. Energy can never be destroyed on transferred. Therefore my thought process is what happens to our energy?

Human beings make me laugh. We are not better nor worse than ants. We are here for now, just like the dinosaurs were. What makes us any better ? Nowt. When that BIG METEOR hits Earth, then it's Goodnight. No more religion nor politics, because that is just a human thing. Whatever survives will take over the planet. Rats ? Flies ? Doesn't matter. Eventually, the Sun will Supa-Nova & take the entire Solar Sysytem with it. FACT!!!!!! Now, what were you saying about God ?...................................

"Now I honestly don't believe in a god or religion but I do think reincarnation happens. Energy can never be destroyed on transferred. Therefore my thought process is what happens to our energy? "
It goes to ground in our bodies, is eaten by worms, plant roots, etc, we become a part of the food chain again, feeding the planet that we sprang from. If you are on about your mind & thought processes, they shut down at the death of your body because you don't need them anymore. The electro-chemical impulses that make you function as a person just stop. Your cadaver just feeds the ground that it came from. That in itself is re-incarnation. It's just that you wouldn't know about it. Yours Sincerely, Napoleon Bonaparte.

Does anyone else ever wonder why live things in general; ants, bacteria, donkeys, birds, snakes, BIG HAIRY SPIDERS, dogs, budgies, crabs, sharks, camels, cats, merecats, pink panthers, those wriggly things with ten million legs, worms, lions, goats, crocodiles, kiwis, goldfish, fukin cute dolphins, parrotts, flies, rats, vegetables (they are a life form), trees, carp, pike, & about twelvety billion other life forms don't pray to one of the many 'Gods' there are to choose from ? Well, I don't wonder why. I know for FACT that religion is a man-made thing. That's why only humans are subservient to such bullshit.

Religion seems to be taking too much control in American politics. It always has, "In God We Trust" and all that There's alot of good stuff in religion, as much of a bad influence as it is who knows where civilisation would be without it, if there was never a social conditioning device like religion and the punishment and reward involved, how far would we have evolved as a culture. Where would civilisation be now if religious zealots hadn't put Gallileo under house arrest for years ? Where would civilisation be now if the book burnings & witch hunts of the 'Dark Ages' hadn't occured ? I reckon that civilisation would be more 'civil'. I don't need religion to make me show empathy & compassion to a fellow human being or to try to force me into being a 'nice' person. I'm like that anyway, as a decent human being. Nowt personal mate, I just picked your quote out of many. I'm an atheist to. God Be With You.

Personally I believe that modern day Liberal thinking is why this worlds in such a mess
In Galatians 6:7 it says “ Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap”. Believe me when I say that I have no right to point a finger at anyone but, I feel justified in saying that we may be reaping what we have sown
And we're all fcuked

The bible is one of the best books ever written, simple as that.
It's completely bollocks but it's well written.
I'm not saying there isn't a god, like i am not saying a pig with a magic wanddidn't create everything.
What i don't get is all of the people who go to church every week, to get cleansed of their sins(Guilty much?).And the people who live their lives dedicated to someone who featured in a book written by tens of different people thousands of years ago.
I agree with what frasier says in if people lived their life by the bible ( or the 10 commandments) then the world could be a better place. That is most likely what the bible was written for in my mind.A bunch of rules to tell you how to live your life and a lot of stories about jesus and god to make them sound special, that is why we should follow their rules.
And boother goes on about us forcing it into his face?
He could easily have not opened this thread, it's hardly ramming it down his throat(mardy minge). Most religious families ram what they believe in and their religion down their kids throats while most families that dont really believe in god do not force their kids to not believe in god. And then you have all the cunts that come to your door, and at schools. There are far more religious programmes on the t.v than programmes that protest against the existance of god.
You can say that you're small minded to think that god didn't create everything. But really, isn't it a bit small minded to think "God just made everything in less than a week"
Pretty easy and lazy way to explain how we are here if you ask me.
