Not here to start an argument or anything. I saw some of the posts on here about the City fans over on Bluemoon, trust me, we aren't all like that. Everyone is very frustrated right now at our lack of form. Even when we win people are unhappy about the lack of tempo and adventure about our side but hey i guess that's Italian mentality for you.
Thought the game last night was pretty good, we did well for the first 20 minutes until Bellamy missed that chance and then our heads went. We didn't take our chances and that's what happens to you when you don't. I thought the sending off was a little harsh but Ade was silly to swing his arm again when he'd gotten away from him. Maybe you deserve the decision after the disallowed goal in the league! You also showed you can score good goals too without the long ball or the throw. Like Mancini said, it was probably the turning point in the game. I feel that had Ade stayed on we had a good chance in the remainder of the game.
You have a tough game in the next round against Chelsea but it's not impossible. There are still a few good teams in it such as Villa and Spurs so it'll be tough for you but I'm sure you'll give it a good go.
You may not agree with me but I just wanted to come on and show that not all City fans are like what you've seen. With regards to the "it's your cup final" comments, from a City fan's point of view, it looks like now we have money teams raise their game against us and see us as a massive scalp.

I'd go with most of that. We finally got one of the big decisions (the sending off) and to be honest over the 3 games we have been the better side. As for fourth place, i just can't see it. Yours players have no mental strength and won't fight for the cause.

Mate i woz reading your post and thinking what a level headed bloke we have here and then you go and ruin it be saying
"from a City fan's point of view, it looks like now we have money teams raise their game against us and see us as a massive scalp".
We can beat anyone on our day, so its not a massive scalp, itws just another scalp.

Welcome skyblue Good post but I have to disagree with your closing paragraph. I'm sure I speak for a lot of stokies that we don't see your club as a 'massive scalp' at all. Personally, it's quite the contrary for me. I'd be totally wounded if my club had the extortionate wealth of yours and that was the best effort, given a 3 game opportunity to prove to us otherwise. Surely you as fans must want answers? We would on a squad worth 1/10th of yours, on your last 3 or 4 performances.

Cheers for not bringing the grapes, skyblue What I'm hoping most for your lot is that Mankini gets a second season with a settled squad and has the chance to build a team that can be truly Top 4 - one thing you could learn from us is the way our players are properly bedded in with each other even if man for man, you've got the skills (we showed you a few of those too mind )

With regards to my last comment, I'm not saying that it's right but that's what the City fans think. It seems now that every team is desperate to beat us because of all the cash we have. That may not be the case with Stoke so fair enough but what I think the City fans are sick of is team's going mental when they beat us like Everton, who at Goodison, cheered every single tackle one of their players made on one of ours as if it was a massive game. To be fair you guys have a point, we celebrated our goal very frantically and to be honest, we really wanted a trophy this season to bring that banner down.

Fair play skyblue, we know there are still a good number of decent Citeh fans.
Unfortunately, money is too often the ruination of decent things and a good number of your lot are now behaving like your near neighbours.
I dread the day we start to belittle our lesser established opponents because they are poorer than us and play to their means/strengths...

Now we have Mancini and I just hope that given a summer window and some time, he can build his own team and improve us so we can come and compete with teams like Stoke and Everton at their grounds.

Hey skyblue. It's rare we see normal, level-headed Man City fans since you got the massive money investment. It's as if alot of your so called "fans" believe they are better than everyone else.
I agree with all of your comments regarding the match yesterday aswell. If it was a Stoke player getting sent off like that, I'd be pretty annoyed. But your lads did well yesterday, definatly better than the league match the other week.

A decent Man City fan. Thank you kind sir; I was beginning to worry that the oil money had made everyone deluded to the point of being sectioned. Good luck for the rest of the season. In our last 2 games against Chelsea (home and away) we have been leading and have only lost to a goal scored in ridiculous amounts of injury time. I'm sure you will kindly remind your fellow SkyBlues that whilst you are the richest team in the Prem, we are the third richest, but our money has come from a self made man who is the son of a miner and the youngest of 10 children. More importantly, he is a Stokie through and through as are his children. Our future looks bright, indeed it looks very bright indeed. See you next season, where we will be battling with you for a place in the Euro play offs

They do what they're good at and it worked, we can't complain.

"They do what they're good at and it worked, we can't complain."
You mean like the classy 1-2 with Tuncay and Kitson for the 1st and Tuncay weaving his way round two defenders before lashing the ball past Given for the 3rd?
My mistake, we only score off Delap throw-ins!!

Fair comments Skyblue. It does seem like Bluemoon has turned into Blue moan. Maybe people have stayed on for worse than what Adebeyor was sent off for but over the recent run of matches against you we have had the rough end of the stick as far as refs are concerned with Viera not getting sent off after only 3 mins and Ryans last minute winner being chalked off.
Any celebrations last night were not just because we had beaten Man City but because we are in the quarter finals of the cup for the first time in 38 years. We would have been just as happy last night whoever we had beaten. You being loaded is irrelevant because you will not do anything special with Mancini as manager. He looked like he could not give a toss last night. I never saw him try to rally his team once and the football you play now does not look as good as when Hughes was boss. Change is fine as long as it brings improvement but you made changes and if anything made a step backwards.
Oh and your chief exec is a cock.

great to have a decent city fan on here. i used to think our sets of supporters were quite similar, but recently it seems like the oil money had gone to their heads.
i think your assessment of the game was fair, to be honest you lot should have gone in 3-0 up at half time. you certainly looked much more up for it than the previous 3 times we'd played ya.

Change is fine as long as it brings improvement but you made changes and if anything made a step backwards. Oh and your chief exec is a cock. I believe that's where most of the annoyance on Bluemoon has come from. We sacked a manager and employed one who started well. Now suddenly we're winning unconvincingly and losing to teams we should be beating (again, no offence but we should). The tempo is slow, we don't seem to want to attack teams so it's brought a lot of disappointment to the fans. Gary Cook is silly to have said the stuff he has said, and very stupid in the way he sacked Hughes. He also apparently forced Richard Dunne out now who is playing in a cup final on Sunday while our defence has looked poor still. We also have this guy called Brian Marwood who I don't like the sound of at all. Don't like any sort of director of football type set-up. I understand about the first cup quarter, that's a fair point and we probably would have celebrated like that had we gone through this round + the next!

You've lost me with your list I'm afraid. It is a fact that little old Stoke City are currently the third richest club in the Prem. Don't forget we are one of a very select band that owe no money. You might remember that piece that Sky Sports News ran on the subject towards the end of the transfer window. One of the big name agents (can't remember his name sorry, but I'm sure someone else will) confirmed this in the press.

There's 2 teams in Manchester, well 1 due to the location of Old Trafford but thats a whole different argument!
