Nice to see a leval headed Manc,
Was wondering if you ever saw players like Summerbee,Franny Lee(introduced diving to the game),Colin Bell,Joe Corrigan,Peter Barnes,Dennis Tueart,Malcolm Allison(god),Neil Young,Mike Doyle,Alan Oaks. All quality players/managers but above all big hearts too,and loved to win,I am afraid you have some prima donnas who have no hearts. All clubs have ups and downs and i can see a few more downs for the blue mancs

great to have a decent city fan on here. There are hundreds of decent CITY fans on here and one or two bell ends too who pamper to the egos of the Manc clubs by calling them city and united! BM Put the inferiority complex down

BM Put the inferiority complex down Mick is making a valid point. It is fine for Stokies to call their club City when talking to fellow Stokies and for Man City fans to do the same when talking amongst themselves. But for Man City or Man United fans to refer to "City" or "United" on other club's message boards is arrogance and when journalists for national papers start referring to Man City as "City" when they are playing Stoke is pig ignorance. I got pissed off big time last week reading reports about how "City" were lucky to get a draw out of the league game at the Brit.

But you still knew who they are referring to though don't you? BTW the City fan referred to them as Man City, it was a Stokie who called them City that provoked Mick's comments. Funnily enough he knew who was being referred to as well.

Funnily enough he knew who was being referred to as well. Actually I think of 1982 Ltd when anyone says just City, and living where you do you will know this to be right and normal. It is the sheer arrogance of the Manc clubs ( and the top club sucking media) that think they are the only clubs with the names City and United. But its hardly surprising they go poncing around with their chests out sneering at everyone else is it when the rest of the country pampers to them! Its the opposite situation for example of the Bristol clubs who both get called "Bristol" around the rest of the country by fuckwits who neither know or care about either club. Zero Respect, and thats fine but lets be consistent - if the Bristol clubs are called Bristol then the Manchester clubs should be called Manchester. BM

Not here to start an argument or anything. I saw some of the posts on here about the City fans over on Bluemoon, trust me, we aren't all like that. Everyone is very frustrated right now at our lack of form. Even when we win people are unhappy about the lack of tempo and adventure about our side but hey i guess that's Italian mentality for you. Thought the game last night was pretty good, we did well for the first 20 minutes until Bellamy missed that chance and then our heads went. We didn't take our chances and that's what happens to you when you don't. I thought the sending off was a little harsh but Ade was silly to swing his arm again when he'd gotten away from him. Maybe you deserve the decision after the disallowed goal in the league! You also showed you can score good goals too without the long ball or the throw. Like Mancini said, it was probably the turning point in the game. I feel that had Ade stayed on we had a good chance in the remainder of the game. You have a tough game in the next round against Chelsea but it's not impossible. There are still a few good teams in it such as Villa and Spurs so it'll be tough for you but I'm sure you'll give it a good go. You may not agree with me but I just wanted to come on and show that not all City fans are like what you've seen. With regards to the "it's your cup final" comments, from a City fan's point of view, it looks like now we have money teams raise their game against us and see us as a massive scalp. Fair comments in general but 'massive scalp'? Please remember that a 'massive scalp' must logically have come from a very big head. ;D

Fair comments from Citeh fan. I think the "massive scalp" phrase was referring to what other Citeh fans were saying about it being our cup final - I don't think he was saying that? To be fair, he's probably representative of the majority of their fans. I've been around for a good 50 years and speak as you find, the ones I've met come across as passionate supporters who want the best for their club. Again a bit like some of our own fans, the ones that post on the message board don't always reflect what the majority of us think.

They shouldn't forget that it was not that long ago that their fans were at the Brit singing "Are You watching Macclesfield?" as they were beating us 5-2 whilst being relegated to the THIRD TIER. BM

I hope Villa finish fourth (if we fail with a late surge). I like how they play the game and I also like their manager.
