is quite ridiculous.
Typical Stoke "fans". Always need a scapegoat. It was Cresswell but now he has gone so looks like Deano is next.
He played well last week against Pompey. Doing what a midfielder under Pulis is instructed to do and today has his best game for us and gets slated for missing a couple of chances.
At least he was in the positions to have the chances. Before today it was "he doesn't support the strikers enough", today he does that and he still gets slated.
Embarrassing!

i think it's perfectly understandable that he's struggle to take the chances he had today.
i mean when was the last time he had a decent chance for us.
he's got forward today and looks a lot better player for it.

I think its hard to judge really it looks like he's been told to stay back as the holding midfielder thereby restricting (before today)his chances to get forward and be th box to box type player that he was for sunderland. Today it seems he was given the chance to get forward more and support the top two which has to right in my view. o.k he missed a couple (ive not seen them at all so wont call them sitters yet) playing this role means we will see much more of him and he will play a greater role in the team. Having said that though I would have thought that Glen would be best doing this job with Salif holding

Much better when he has two proper wide men either side of him, Pulis has been really over doing the conservatism with his midfield selection the last few weeks, and it's been to whiteheads detriment because he had nobody of quality to pass too, Delaps is a good player but he's no wide man, and doesn't have the quality on the ball that Lawrence has, having Liam back in the team has rebalanced the midfield, and long may it continue.

We've come a long way to have so many options, suspensions and injuries don't affect in nearly the same way so far.

should be diao holding and whelan, pushing on for me, whitehead should be cover on the bench Should be Abdoulaye holding and Whelan pushing for me. Nobody would get through our midfield and we would score more goals. Whitehead runs all day from one end of the pitch to the other but it's the good points in between that make him poor to me.

Your glee shines through faf. th05's comment wasn't meant to be funny, and there was little to get sarcastic about. You pretend you lol'ed and put a big smiley thing because you are glad Whitehead missed. You get all excited at a bad result, it is obvious to anyone.

Whitehead might run around, but messes up, misses tackles altogether or does clumsy tackles, even if he wins the ball in the air, he heads it out or to the opposition.

Don't agree with the 'Whelan Whelan' chants when he misplaces a pass or does anything else bad to bring attention to himself. Thought it was really encouraging the way he was busting a gut to get on the end of those chances and reckon he's gonna slot one or two fairly soon. Perhaps not next week but avail yourself of some of 25/1 he scores first v Wigan. It's a coming..

Thought he was good today and he didnt miss two sitters, second chance was hard for anyone lay off him !! Did you go the match you clown? First sitter put clean through weakly shoots at keeper as he panicked and didn't see Lawrence to his right for a tap in. 2nd sitter the prick decides to slide with his wrong foot after Fuller has worked his magic and put it on a plate but moon face missed it even knocked it away from Ethers and Mama!!! Watch the game don't bullshit me ffs!

His best game today but I still left the ground saying "Fucking Whitehead". ;D
He missed 1 sitter and took another sitter off Ethers' foot.
A sturdy 6 today for Whitehead.

The second is a sitter but should have left it?

Watch the game don't bullshit me ffs! Watched it. Neither were SITTERS. First could have done better, second was very difficult at that speed and yet how you describe them you'd think they were open goals from a yard out.

The second one he should have left and You could tell from his reaction he knew it as Ethers was steaming in behind.
The first one, he should score. It was better today from Whitehead but he still wasn't particularly good. He is moving in the right direction though.
