He's bust a gut to get into the box and had a fraction of a second to make that decision as Ric overhit it. You really expect him to know Ethers was 6 or 7 yards behind coming in?

Yeah same for Wilko then i suppose.
Had a great game but if you can't hit the target from 10 yards out under no pressure then you've had a fucking nightmare.
Sorry Wilko, you've fucked it. Two very good performances but if you're not going to at least hit the target when you get a chance you're going to get lynched.

I think he was trying to find Whitehead and hit it way too hard. Yes Ethers was coming in but with a better pass from Ric then Whitehead was in the better position i feel. Now, who was it who slid Wilko in nicely i wonder?

I honestly can't remember that it was Whitehead, I was too busy slumping in my seat when he missed! ;D
Better from Whitehead today but he did a lot of good things and a lot of fucking stupid things.

You don't need to remember, don't you trust me? ;D He was given a hospital ball by somebody and he made a slide tackle come through ball all in the same action putting Wilko clean in on goal. Sheer Class!!!! . ;D

Bayern If Ethers shouted for the second, then Whitehead wants fookin, but I think he was gesturing that no one shouted? He was deffo better today than I've seen him, and we forget that he played a big part in the winner last week A lot of the Whitehead threads on here, remind me of the "Rory Decrap" Threads frrom about two years ago tbh

The poor guy made an amateurish fluff almost the first time he's been in danger of scoring for us, otherwise imo he's been gradually integrating into the team and is starting to look like he's up to the job at last, this isn't the time to get on his back.
Remember how slowly Rory started for us, he was a liability his first couple of months even when he got match fit again. It almost ALWAYS happens with midfielders coming into the TP System.

And Whitehead looked gutted. Beary-I trust You! I get animated at games and was probably just shouting unintelligible bollocks!

Fromafar what is the point of you being a Stoke fan because your the most negative fuckwit on here WHATS THE POINT? so, to use your logic, a fan of a team is not allowed to dislike, criticize etc any player on said team ?? when someone plays as bad as he has since sigining for Stoke and then misses 1 of the easiest sittes ever seen and cobbles another golden opportunity when it was him against the goalie, and both those opportunities cost MY team the win ? then damn right im negative about a specific player !!

Good luck.

If Pulis has suddenly decided that at least one of his midfield holders are allowed to get into goal scoring positions then I think that is a massive step forward in his thinking and could make a big difference to our season.

Serg, faf does lots of unseen, invisible supporting of Stoke. Thats why he reminds me of a Whitehead actually, whom I hold in high esteem.

And while you're here, perhaps you could give us that evidence of their midfield "controlling the game" that I asked you for on another thread...? Just let me know when you find something.

I think Whitehead will be a real asset for us long term, he gets through a lot of good work, goals will follow too if he keeps getting in to good positions like he did today.

Has he though? Or did Whitehead just make a break for it, with the cage door swinging behind him?
