Hello Everyone, im a big fan of Stoke City (And Maccabi), found this moment a great Opportunity to inform you guys with things about Maccabi and Israel.
first of all, i read couple of posts here, so i have to make things clear - Theres 3 israeli teams playing Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Hapoel Tel-Aviv, Maccabi Haifa. Maccaib Tel-aviv is the team whos playing against you.
Israel is totally safe - its the most secured country in the world, actually, way more secured than Turkey, the Terrorist attacks and Rockets are only in the south now, Tel-Aviv is far away from the "Action", so u can be chilled and get here.
Maccabi is a tough and young team, we passed pao with 3-0 (you can watch here )
if you got more questions about israel or Maccabi, i will be very happy to answer them.
sorry for my bad grammer!

Hellu! Welcome to the Board "stokemaccabi"! I think it's a tough group with four good teams. You absolutely can't underestimate Maccabi Tel-Aviv, beaten Panathinaikos 3-0 like that. Historically speaking, have won the Double in Israel 6 times and have ALWAYS played in the highest division?! candy//:musik

I love Israel, the beer is tasty, the beaches are brilliant, the people are friendly and the wine.... Great. Security is good there. If I wasn't in china then, I would be going back. Did I mention the weather, it is fantastic in November. My favourite time.

Welcome to The Oatcake, stokemaccabi... It's good to hear you are well away from the 'troubles'. What sort of reception can Stoke supporters expect from the local people? Are British people seen as Israel's friends because of our historical links and relationship with the USA? Tell us about the area local to your stadium. Are there seafront bars and restaurants, etc...? PS. This is definitely my preferred trip out of the three away games because I think the group will be decided before Besiktas away...

Umm, its about how you will act, if ppl will come and does provocations like bringing Palestine flags or Hamas flags im not sure u will get out alive from the stadium :\ if you will come nicely and support your team, everybody will love you, in israel, the english soccer is part of the culture, everybody like it. and i bet there will be over 3000 fans of Maccabi in the Britannia stadium, our fans are beasts Everyone are welcomed, not just british ppl, the israelis are the most friendly ppl in the world, we will hug you, and count you as our friends, but its again, aslong ppl wont do any provocations. Tel-Aviv is Amazing, theres everything in here, Clubs, restaurants and amazing beachs, theres one problem - israel is realy expensive. :\ Tel-Aviv is 24/7 City, everything is open all the time, and theres ppl in the streets all the time. our stadium name is Bloomfied, the capticity of the stadium is 16k, in Europa League games and League games it usually full, and teams like Shalcke, Espanyol and more werent having a chance to win in here, the atmosphere is crazy, the israeli fans are epic. but about the ppl, Terror and all those things newspapers like Guardian are talking about, are lies, israel is secured, theres nothing to worry about, actually, theres more chances there will be a terror issues in countrys like Italy and spain than here.

i hope you will get here, will be very exciting. its like a dream, never thought in the only year Stoke is competing in Europe they will play with Maccabi.
btw, for those who asked why did we play in cyprus, in the early 2000s there were lots of terror attacks in israel, so untill 2004 we played in cyprus, but not anymore.
more info about Maccabi European history - we played in the champions league in 2005, we played with Ajax, Juventus and Bayren Minchun in the same group, finished 4th with 4 points like Ajax. ( We won Ajax, and did 1-1 with Juventus) Last year we won Olympiacos in the Europa league 2nd round, and after that lost to PSG 6-4 in agg in the playoff rounds.

Hello, Stoke fans! Not the guy who opened the thread, but once I heard we are playing you guys I found this board and registered as well. I was both excited and upset that we have been drawn against you - On the upside, a team from the Premier League which is very attracting and always fun. On the down side, we could have gotten easier teams... We were hoping for group B! I lived in the London for almost 6 years, my father worked for Vodafone so we relocated when I was younger. We moved back to Israel when I was around 17. I will definitely be going to our away match against you, simply cannot wait!! I think the stadiums in England are the best - so special, unique, and have such an amazing atmosphere. It is totally different than what we have here in Israel; Sure, we do have tifo which is not common in England, but you guys know how to support and sing. I think the only barrier that will prevent you guys from coming to Israel is the prices which I assume are quite expensive, but I will praise my city just like the other guy in this thread did - Tel Aviv is an amazing place, specially for you guys who are used to winter. Worth every penny Now with all the respect aside, I hope we will somehow manage to take 6 points from you, although I will be extremely glad with a home win! Good luck to both of us, hopefully both sides will qualify, beat the turks and have interesting and fun matches!!
