Were not realy into going there, after the fights yestrday in Athens, Anti-Israel groups are all over Greece and Turkey, its actually realy dangerous, im not sure fans who will get there will come back alive, not because of Besiktas fans, their awesome and they got no politics involed, its because of palestinian organizations who took over Istanbul. Such a shame I definitely would not risk it in your situation, I'm a bit wary going to Turkey anywya I'm my situation. Try and give the moderators a kick up the back-side and approve me to post, I'm easy to spot, my name is Stokie This is you I guess - forum.12p.co.il/index.php?showuser=59727Okay, I'll PM one of them although from what I can tell none are online, so you might have to wait for tomorrow. To the other Maccabi fan in this thread - You said you're a part of the 12th player, so you could also urge them to approve her!

If i remember rightly from earlier, it was about £400 for a return, that's my months wages, I only work part-time haha. There seems to be a little bit of confusion on there about England, some of them are saying that it's nearly as dangerous as Turkey ??? And that everybody will mug them and punch them for being Jewish.

Normal english ppl doesnt know anything about israel, all they know comes from romours and T.V, ppl think its not safe here, and when i was reading here before, i was shocked. like i said before, Israel is Safe, even more than Spain and Italy, and WAY MORE than Turkey. after all, israel is a west world country, the only democratic state in the whole midlle east, and more.

Turkey is only dangerous for us Israelis because of the recent events between Israel and Turkey (the flotilla aid if you remember...), and with Palestine and all that. But none are dangerous and I assume Turkey just like Israel welcomes tourists... Also, we're from Tel Aviv which is in the center of Israel. Right now the southern border is quite dangerous and rockets are being fired at us on a daily basis in the last weeks, but that's very far from Tel-Aviv Hammas is undeveloped to fire rockets so far. Don't worry!! The only thing that should concern you are the prices, which I admit, are expensive (Although out of Ukraine, Turkey and England, you guys are very expensive too

One is at Chelsea in Champions League, they might be able to get tickets, but they are expensive, and London is a very expensive place to stay. Then there's talk about seeing the Manchester derby, I'm sure it will be impossible to get tickets for that, although manchester is cheaper to stay in than London. Stoke is one of the cheapest places to be in England, I don't know how that translates to your money though, but if anybody is staying for a few days, there isn't much to do around here at all! I'll keep an eye on flight costs to tel-Aviv, you guys seem so welcoming!

worcesterpotter, Great, I hope both you guys will be approved soon. Open a thread when you do! Angry44, the flights are expensive. I didn't really check the prices yet to be honest, I will make some calls and see how much it'll cost on Sunday, but from what I heard from other fans hotel + flights will be around 1000$, while for Turkey we can get around 400$, and Ukraine is 500-600. But honestly nobody cares. Once in a lifetime experience. I'm going no matter what

You've nearly persuaded me!
Can only afford one trip and was thinking of Kiev, especially as Besiktas could be after group is decided, but now you are making me think Tel Aviv may be a good option!
Confused now.

I know there will be other Stokies there, but I will probably make a longer trip of it for 5-6 days and it will be just me.

To the guy who suggested help - Yes, once I have tickets and I'l lstart planning things I will do it, thanks About Ajax - Since the Champions League match we became very connected, although there were also some relations before. But in 2004 in the Champions League, we were in the same group and when Ajax fans came to Israel, Vak 410, their organization and our organizations met, went to games together, we hosted their fans and when we played in Ajax they hosted our away fans. Since then we have great relationships with them - From now and then they come to Israel and watch matches with Maccabi fans, when Maccabi is in Holland they support us (we have an annual training camp in Holland so they come to support). Also one of the Vak 410 leaders in Israeli

It is, xept for Tel-Aviv with all the partys and such which are perfect for solo travellers , theres lots of places to visit, the Holy places in Jerusalem, the Dead sea, and more.

I mean, if you don't bother being a solo traveler in any other country, it won't be different in Tel Aviv. We have great beaches, great clubs and bars, basically an amazing night life. You could also visit Jerusalem and sacred sites for Christianity if you are interested

Maccabi, excuse my ignorance but I'm genuinely interested.
What percentage of young adults (18-30 years old) in Tel-Aviv are religious? By religious, I mean regular church/synagogue goers?
Just trying to get a feel for New Israel...

Just trying to get a feel for New Israel... Im not sure bout the exact precentage but its realy low in Tel-Aviv, something like 10%-15% MAX.
