I think you're overrating money in this particular context. Pep had far less money at Barcelona than Madrid, yet they still played better and won more trophies during his relatievly short stay as manager there. Stoke has more money than most Championship clubs but still finish bottom third. Citeh finish above Liverpool, because Pep is a better tactician than Klopp. Not that JK isn't a good manager. He's a more relaxed person with a great sense of humour, whereas Guardiola hovers on manic behaviour at times. I've always rated JK, ever since he was manager at Mainz and sometime later became one of the best experts, almost like a good teacher, on German TV. I hope he will again this summer. I don't think Pep is a better manager than Klopp, Pep has been able to buy whoever he wants and has stacked his squad and bench with top players. Klopp has had to build teams with far less available to him and he has still managed to put out teams that have managed to compete at the highest level. Klopp hasn't been able to replace superstars with superstars during matches like Pep can. Pep has won 1 Champions League with Man City which I would say given what he has had available to him is pretty poor I agree. Guardiola also failed to win the Champions League with a Bayern team that really should have won the Champions League.

With Robert Huth back as the guest in SJW's first game, just after his appointment, then being spotted watching the u21s game with him last week at Leicester (albeit Huth has a minor role there), then back again to watch the game here on Saturday, wonder if he's being lined up for a role here? They seemed close and Huth has the same sporting director qualifications as Walters. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-robert-huth-leicester-4079026Would it be a crowd-pleasing move too far, or another step in a positive direction? The bloke next to Huth looks a bit like Jamie Vardy.

Before reading the thread I thought it was going back to 2013 again & on about Stacey Solomon "singing" abide with me.....Jesus....awful Stacey Solomon butchered the National Anthem. Abide With Me was ruined by the Poundland version of The Three Tenors whose name escapes me. I'm still upset about it to this day.

A class player. It's difficult to understand how he's not been a PL regular at some time during his career. I think he might have been for a couple of seasons at Villa, although I could very well be thinking of someone else.

Smalltown boy. Typical stoke. Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away. Sums up how I feel watching Stoke.

Thing is, now Bello is there I want Real Madrid to win everything. But it doesn't sit easily with me. Same here, Joe. It'll be even worse if Phonzie joins them in the summer (which I think he will).

Eclair was all over the scene in the early 1980s and probably starts every anecdote with "as Ben once said to me" or "while I was gigging with Rik and Ade at the Wah Wah club in 82" Didnt realise she was still going As for female comediennes, I will always have time for French and Saunders. Love to see Ronnie Ancona and Doon Machkikan(?) appear every now and then, always appreciate their work, they were both Comic strip graduates and Doon is in all sorts of stuff right up to Toast and Alan Partridge. She was in Nathan Barley which was years ahead of its time and had a 'stars of the future' vibe to the cast (Julian Barrat, Benedict Cucumber=patch, Ben Whishaw) Love Doon, and French and Saunders too! As someone else mentioned Sally Philips is funny as well, along with the other two from Smack the Pony - Fiona Allen and Sarah Alexander. I've seen some hilarious comedians (male and female) at local comedy clubs, but I don't find too many recent, mainstream comedians funny at all, female or otherwise. When people as painfully unfunny as Jenny Eclair and Matt Rife can make it big I don't think there's much hope for anyone who's actually funny.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him taking a job in Saudi...... ££££££££££ There is absolutely zero chance he ends up in Saudi. Everything about the place is completely at odds with his politics and beliefs.

Good spot that! Just googled it and looks like its just Gillian, Stephen is Macc Town Gillian is the cool one though. Cool enough for both of them. For some reason it made my day finding that out. I had no idea, and I really like New Order. It definitely ups our cool factor significantly.

Heard the crack in the visitors end , what a lying stupid prick I was in my usual seat in row 9 of the South Stand that day. The injury looked nasty but you definitely couldn't hear a snap, complete drama queens.

Nah mate I know the spotters always travel with teams around the country, but I'm referring to as them sending vans up for matches. Stoke v WBA last year had West Mids riot squads up outside the ground.. & Staffs did same at the Hawthorns aswell. Must be some West Midlands/Staffs mutual aid agreement. Never heard of that mate. I'll keep my eyes open now. I know Staffs draft in horses from other forces for some games. Or did do when we used to get crowds. Can confirm that Callas is correct, it's a Mutual Aid arrangement.

If he’d had a Palestinian flag with him then there would have been no issue…perhaps we should all carry one (jokes). Or a rainbow one. Because gay people are never victims of police brutality...

Thinking of going to Toronto later this year, after Chicago, and then onto Collingwood up by Lake Huron. Looks like Niagara Falls is an easy day trip from Toronto, what's the best area in Toronto to stay, the waterfront area ?
Staying in Toronto I would recommend midtown area if you want to save money but be still be close to it all. Very easy to get around either walking over or underground pathway system, Subway or Tram. If you don’t mind spending more than generally the closer to the lake, Union station etc you get the more expensive. I usually stay at the Sheraton on Queen street opposite City hall. Very nice and easy to get to everything. Niagara is very easily accessible. I would recommend going on the train or bus as the QEW (motor way between them) can be a massive ball ache. Stay overnight as it makes for a long day going there and back in a day. Niagara Falls is amazing to see but don’t spend too long there as the whole town is a massive rip off tourist trap. Collingwood and all along Georgian bay is beautiful.
Georgian Bay is home for me now, it's lovely! I've also lived in Niagara. Definitely recommend staying for a night at least, too. I highly recommend visiting Niagara on the Lake while you're in the area, it's only a short drive from the Falls. If you're into wine the hotels there often have deals on that come with a wine tour included. If you like doughnuts then Beechwood Donuts in St. Catharines has the absolute best and is worth the stop.

Ryan Gosling, Donald and Kiefer Sutherland, James Cameron. Kiefer born in London and I believe holds a UK passport? You're spot on. He's dual nationality and both his parents are Canadian so he sort of counts

Stonewall penalty to USA not given at first but then fixed by VAR. Not a great hit, well saved by the Vietnamese keeper. US still look a class above. I still can't quite believe she saved it.
