Don’t see what Bursik did to deserve to be dropped in all fairness. It was that one dodgy game against Derby. It was harsh to drop him. Davies being shaky and picking up the ball 1 mile out the area is enough reason for Joe to come back. Just alternate between them until one is consistent Good idea, as a regular swap around of a keeper won't really disrupt the team too much and keep both on their toes. England did it often enough between Shilton and Clemance in the 70's. Mind you England never got too far in tournaments! 😂

Raducanu has got shut of her coach! What a cheek! Probably told to by all the hanger on "expert advisors" she's got now no doubt. Supposedly wants someone with bigger tournament success experience. What? Like you until he helped get you there? Give him a chance for goodness sake. Hope she fails now.

Batter seems logical, being as the person chucking the ball is known as a bowler, not bowlsman. You are making a silly point! 😃

It's hard for old uns like us to change our language and I always use phrases such as batsmen, linesman, policeman, fireman, headmaster often without thinking. But I also do a bit of coaching for a girls football team and do find myself trying to neutralise certain phrases like Man of The Match to Player of the Match etc. Ultimately for the next couple of generations they will slip seamlessly into the new language and no one will bat an eyelid....... Why should we change our language Don bradman will always be the world’s best batsman Changing it to Don Bradperson. Geoff Boy/girl/trancott won't be appy. Trying to ruin crikit now too.

Is the weatherspoons still on the station? Not a wetherspoons (though there are 3 in the centre and 2 bit further out) but the very good Sheffield tap at the dide of the station.

Thought mv was a bit of a twat got out of his car and walked straight past Hamilton who had mv car on him.. Wanker You could argue that Hamilton was a twat for spinning his wheels trying to get out of it when he had no idea how MV was. Lets be fair now. Bit of a difference a car on top of you or other way round!

When did that all die out then? I don't ever recall seeing groups of away fans in the top right of the Boothen in the mid-80s onwards. Was that just because segregation had formally been introduced? The 80s could still get a bit tasty but, by the sounds of it, it was relatively tame compared to the 70s. Is that fair to say? I think by the 80's hooligan groups had got organised, it was a lifestyle choice replete with its own fashion and and social mores and you were either in or out, no grey area. In the 70's it was much more of a spontaneous 'fun for all the family' activity, it didn't define you. That's my take on it anyway. Can't remember many lads taking their mums for a punch up! 😂

A love Fannys in Saltaire We all do 😜 - I live there! Its reopened with new folk running it. Has a long bar down the left side now rather than central bar, so more room now. Quite a few drinkers aren't happy with the beer range or the fact that they charge more for 2 halves compared to a pint. We have to watch our pennies us Yorkshire folk! 😂

I can't believe people are still sticking up for this moron. The same people who'd- quite rightly- be calling him a 'flagshagging dog whistling xenophobic Little Englander' if he was English and spent his time online going on about conflicts of yesteryear and referencing people like Tommy Robinson and Enoch Powell in his Tweets. But as he appears to hate England and Great Britain so much why does he wish to "work" here? Oh of course, he gets a stinking great salary that helps.

🤣 Football is politics. This strand of thought is the latest one adopted by the knuckle draggers to justify racism I suppose "Football is politics." OK. Let's have all the teams taking a knee for all the Palestinian children murdered by Israel. Then they can take a knee for all the Uighurs being killed by China. Then they can... Don't forget innocents killed by muslim fanatics.

Remember it as far back as being the Gordon. Early drinking days you tend to remember everything and early season, probs 79/80 everyone in pub was singing "Lionel" but don't know who he was. Think some Chinese folk ran it at one time too.

No, but you know its the case. Lucky to get 5,000 for early cup games. I worked with plenty of "fans" and also know a few loyal ones. If they were in the champ they would get 12-15k at home with or or without cheap season tickets Think youve got your BPA rose tinted specs on! And your scared of your in-laws! 😂

Bradford Park Avenue maybe, Bradford City no. Bradford should really be a Championship club, similar to Bristol City. A decent and loyal fan base. About 5 thousand loyal ones, the rest only go due to cheap season tickets and don't show for cup games.

I never believed that Keepers should be allowed to enter the opposition half. If an outfield player tried to wear a different coloured shirt than his teammates, he would be ordered to change it. In Allison’s case, he wore a very dark top and it’s easy for defenders to mistake his shirt with the refs. Great header but shouldn’t be allowed. Must admit I did have a similar thought. It was ridiculous how the Baggies defenders just left Alisson alone and I do think the fact he was wearing black allowed him to slip under the radar, so to speak. I don't think it's that far-fetched to imagine that defending a corner in the dying seconds of a game, the players are ultra-focussed on the red shirts in the box and for those few split seconds the black shirt of the goalie doesn't register in their brains as the same threat. Could be an interesting psychological study in it... He should stand out more surely?!
