I can't really put into words how much I hate you, your colours, your ground, your crappy idiotic Elvis song you sing, well.....just about everything about you.
You may think that this post is a silly ha ha ha posts from a Stoke supporter who's team are doing fantastically well and I'm just rubbing it in because you are bottom of the league and are certainties for relegation........hey, you think right. Spot on because I could not despise you more.
God I hate you, and I sincerely hope that in 12 months time you're going to be struggling to stay in the football league or even better go out of existence for good.
I go to bed some nights and hope that the epicenter of an earthquake is at Hamil road or a tsunami washes away your ground or a plague of locusts swarms over vale park or some other disaster of biblical proportions falls upon you.
God I hate you.......I'm loving every minute of it. ;D ;D ;D

...and I in contrast hope that you stay up and thrive for immortality as I am proud of this City's footballing heritage and all that goes with it.
Port Vale is a valuable asset to the City and long may it continue.

Shame to bring yourself down to the level of our friends in the North I know they have long hated us but this stems from the fact that they have always been the smaller Club in the City and to some extent I can understand that. When I started following Stoke there was 3 Divisions between us and it's quite possible that could be the case again next year ! I think at that time most Stokies would say they liked to see Vale do well ! I, for one, have far more time for someone from this City supporting Vale than many of the Glory hunting bastards you see around !! It looks very much like Vale will go down and whilst I will lose no sleep over it I wouldn't want to see them struggle again next Season We are one of only 7 Cities outside London with more than one League team and long may it last

Well put jpm, have some karma.
I look on the vale as a younger, very annoying brother. You dont mind giving him a slap but you wouldnt want him to die.

I don;t want to see the fail go bust either. But i would like to see a return to the days when we were top 6 division 1 (now prem) and they were bottom 6 division 4 (now league 2)!!!
Great days.

there are bigger clubs than Vale (Oxford for a start) in the conference so why not?
I think that Sinnot will get Vale to top 10 div 4 next season though.

i wouldnt want to see them go down, my grandad supported BOTH vale and stoke. And although i love the potters much more, i do have a SLIGHT soft spot for the vale, its the sort of one where i like to see them finish 21st every year.....
a club in league 2 will not do S-O-T any favours, a club in the premiership.......

Vale fan looking in, lets see if you have the guts to come and post this on OVF! I doubt you will though! At least Knype and BayernOatcake have the guts to come and take us on head on, and show some intelligence as well! So come on then, or are you chicken?

jpm, i couldnt agree with you more.
heads go up, i smite thee.
theres nowt wrong with the vale, and you have sunk to their level. id be a bitter bastard as well if i came from burslem and supported such a pile of dross. and i would HATE to see the vale go bust. i occasionally have been known to go down when i cant get to a stoke away game just to show my support for the other of our citys clubs, one thats struggling and is in need of help.
i hope vale stay up, go from strength to strength, and that some day we will have that competative rivalry once again. i used to love those derby days...

I would love to really hate them with a passion but that's only going to happen if they come up to us and we get Potteries derbies again. Whilst they're down there, they are indeed like the annoying little brother, but I would love them to be big enough to be our nemesis. But it probably isn't ever going to happen... Not in our livetimes anyway.

When living abroad for a number of years the second result i looked for was the Fails. After all they are a Potteries team and i am sure others abroad did(do) the same even if just to smile if they lost. I would not want to see them out of business . We still might nick another Chambo off them.

I have no reason be! I'm just issuing a challenge to the poster! It's easy to hide behind your own garden fence and shout silly names at people walking past, but does he have the guts to come and say it to our faces? ;D To be fair to Merk, he may be a Pulis-loving wankstain but at least he had the guts to come and say what he felt to our faces! Stokelad1984 and Ray_Tupper seem to have lasted as well which kind of pees on your fire!

I'm certainly not a Vale hater either and like others have said all credit to their few remaining fans for turning up and supporting the team. It can't be easy, right now the team is full of strangers, youngsters and loanees, yet still 3,000 odd still choose to support THEIR team when it would be all too easy to 'defect' or simply sit in front of the fire. Like all fans in the lower leagues, they/we go because we LOVE our teams and while rivalry has a place why want destruction and oblivion to befall them? Events at Vale Park will take their course however and while certainly not wishing for it, just like the 'realist' Vale fan at P&G making his way back from Hartlepool last week, I see no real future at all for a second club in Stoke-on-Trent in todays economic climate. The economics simply don't stack up with around 6,000 needed to break even, only around 60-70% of that do turn up and it doesn't take a Arnold Weinstock to do the maths. Lower league for the Vale is and has been a cert since John Rudge left, the only questions left are - what lower league and exactly where will they be plying their trade, because with so few attending the very economics of Vale Park don't make sense.

Personally I don't mind them doing badly, but just enough that they stay in the league system. Mid-table League 2 side would do for me. I like having a second team in the city and as has been said before, I'd much rather see a Vale fan than I would some pillock wearing a ManUre or Chelsea shirt. They were stupid to sack Rudge years ago and then squander away all the cash they generated, especially on a no-mark like Brian Horton. I suspect we'll be saying the same thing about Crewe and Dario in a few years time, but they can sod off out of business for all I care.
Sunderland supporters actually generated the money to keep Newcastle in business many, many years ago.

Well for the one's who have sympathy for the Vale, believe you me, they hate us to a man (or woman) They reveled in it when we hit a rough patch and they were on a par with us for a short time. You wouldn't get the slightest bit of sympathy from them if it was the other way round.
You are very misguided if you think otherwise.
I truely feel they've appointed a third rate manager who will take them out of the football league and I for one will be 'over the moon' when it happens.
