Some truthful posts on there but some sound like Newcastle supporters, we have spent this much, we are too good, we have these players, heard it all before from a Newcastle supporter last season on the train back to Manchester.
They suffer from the same problem of thinking that they will get everything before they even kick a ball and missing the point that it is a team game.

We have some genuine idiots on our message board, like. But no greater percentage than anyone else I'd hope! Bare in mind though that it is a huge message board for a single football club so that percentage means higher numbers than most. |

They probably have got better individuals than us but they aren't a better a team than us. That said there aren't too many of our players that I would swap for theirs, we work hard and we work well as team and thats down to our squad of Superstars (Cresswell included ) |

SOME decent posts on that thread, i'd agree with most of them like
they do have some players who in terms of ability are better than we have, but over-all we're the better team especially at our pad ;d i'd say with one or two more signings we should finish above them again this year

By far the one most like the Oatie. Their SMB (equivalent to our GDB) is funny as fuck. I also have to say that the "Lets all laugh at Newcastle" thread is my favourite thread on the whole Interweb. ;D ;D ;D I get the feeling us two sets of supporters have a lot in common; Proper Clubs, working class areas, similar sense of humour. And we need the points now that we've put Brazil to the sword. ;D |

It makes you laugh doesn't it 'We are a better team than Stoke'. They offer no explanation as to why they are, they just are! So how do they come to this conclusion? Recent results - Stoke have won 2 of the 3 meetings in the past year. League position - Last season Stoke 12th, Sunderland 16th (2 points from relegation, A measly 9 points behind). Support - err no. Sunderland fans, why are you 'Better' than Stoke City?
They are the poor man's Spurs, they spend bucketloads of money and consistently underachieve. The only reason they are signing players like Darren 'Stick him up your arse' Bent is beacuse they have an owner who has more money than sense.

Do these boys on this thread have any footballing knowledge at all? Leave them alone. You can't help feeling sorry for anyone who has to watch a defender of Nosworthy's dubious quality regularly. I'm gobsmacked that someone with such knowledge of the centre half role (S Bruce) puts up with that.

The usual suspects, marra. Interesting that Nemo on that thread, who is something of the elder statesman on our message board was the first to chastise the young'uns. He and I often have a private little laugh at the "self-anointed experts on everything" and "football manager scouts". Some of our top posters such as Nemo and Confucious were bang on the money and I'd like to hope you can judge us by posters of that caliber, rather than the attention seeking kids who deal only in absolutes. We absolutely loved Evans up here and he was that good that Man Utd were never going to let him leave after his loan. What a defender that lad is. Very reminiscent of Alan Hansen. The harsh truth to face is that he is simply too good for SAFC, but as weith most harsh truths, it's easier to ignore than to acknowledge. |
