To be fair i will see how they perform under one of the best managers in the world, not just tonight as it wont be fair, but over the next 6months or so, if they fail then England footballers are just over rated tripe.

no they are really crap - wont win anything ever -no matter who manages em
truth is harsh sometimes
goalie ? -who -where - laughable at international level in fact ? back four -who - where ? midfield - prima donnas who cant / wont play together up front - one broken down 'has been' and one fat scouser easily provoked, with a foul mouth
thats it !

We should not have appointed Capello. We should have accepted that we're wank, appointed a British manager like O'Neill, and re-build, no matter how long it takes. Trying to buy the 2010 World Cup and sacrificing your sense of national identity defeats the object and reduces international football to that of the money-obsessed Premiership. France in the late 80s/early 90s put in place an indigenous infrastructure under a certain Gerard Houllier and took their time to build up to winning the 1998 World Cup - a structure that is still producing world-class players today.

'The itis is a Caribbean term used in Black American Vernacular English to describe a condition of sleepiness associated with eating meats and sauces, similar to the phenomenon often referred to as a food coma.'
Thank you Wik.

Tony, for someone who doesn't care, you don't half fucking drone on about it. Must you do this every single time they play? We get it. (for the record, I agree with a lot of what you say)

Fuck Me...It took over 5 years to convert Woolystanton into becoming a self-confessed born again rimmer... Hudson's even had to change his name to Kinnell.... It's hard for some to grasp pure genius....And I've only got a degree in knitting apparently. God knows what theirs is in.! ;D

Tony, spot on as usual.
It's just the media who bang on about England and 1966 (did anyone notice it took Motson all of thirty seconds to mention 1966!) to try to improve audience figures.
Any decent long time football watcher knows English players lack the technical ability and football brain of most continental and S American counterparts.
Regardless of who the manager is, if the players aren't quality, then it's only ever going to be quarter-finals and bust I think.
Still the Premiership is 100 mph ping pong football and exciting isn't it?! (with the exception of Arsenal maybe. How many England players do they have again?!)

The Premier League is popular throughout the world because its often exciting and fast paced mixed with physical tussles. This does make for exciting blood and thunder games but doesn't necessarily help players to develop their technique and tactical awareness. The British public likes blood and thunder too. As I do by the way. Whats the thing always thrown at the current England set up? Passion. England lack 'passion'. 'Passion' manifests itself by way of crashing tackles and sticking your bonce amongst the boots to win a header. These aren't bad attributes but at top international level you need more than blood and thunder. Englands players are lacking because many have never had to consider a wider range to their game. Partly because of the nature of English football.

So by that I take it Greece have quality players that England lack and was nothing to do with the system they played
