The football under Capello is going to be boring front the offset, it'll be like Sven's England. We will only see if it is worth having him when we get to the quarters, then we can see if his winning personality counts for anything.
I tell you what though, the football will be less boring than this thread. ukyestony in "I don't like competitions other than Stoke in the league" shocker!! Wheel yourself mate.

You make an interesting (not boring) point Banksy.
Sven, god bless him, got us through every qualifying stage, out of every group stage at the finals, took England from 11th to 5th in the FIFA rankings, has a win % second only to Terry Venables (who was there for a much shorter time) and yet many people still fail to recognise that he was one of our best ever managers!
Is this because he wasn't "passionate" enough when we were losing to Brazil in 2002 or Portugal in 2004 or simply because he got us playing a type of football which works well on the international scene but doesn't sit well with English fans who watch MoTD every week and love to see the ball flying around everywhere.
McLaren typified the English approach, i.e get stuck in, don't worry about keeping the ball or technical ability. Might be exciting at a club level but don't expect it to work internationally, you'll never see the ball again!

now then ! I drive home tonite to hear that the premier league want to play extra matches abroad to drum up more interest and income.
Very interesting indeed, -remembering that, the whole concept of a premier league was sold to us on the concept of reducing the number of teams in the top league, -REDUCE the quantity of matches they play, to elevate the quality of our football and improve the standing of our international team

and people wonder why I despise em so totally ! (The FA - the england team - in fact, the whole rotten shooting match)
just a bunch of greedy overrated overpaid lying wasters !
