Paul I've become accustomed to my seat. I do'nt really want to move. I'm not sure it's an option not to buy to be honest. I guess this is what I object to, though I can see it is a selfish attitude!

WCH, as you reportedly work 16 hours a day during the week and lose your weekends to SCFC, thus allowing you precious little time with your wife, I'm sure you won't mind me making a suggestion... Stop wasting so much time starting daft threads and arguing like a ninny on the Oatcake.

I'm enjoying this Premiership lark but I've had a season ticket for the last six years and I don't intend to give up my seat, regardless of what league we're in. Like someone said earlier, one advantage of the prem for a long-distance exile like me is that fewer games means less transport costs. One thing I've really appreciated is the fewer midweek games - they are a real pain in the arse (dashing off straight from work, driving through rush hour traffic, getting home at midnight; up at six the next morning ). Mind you, coming over for the Bolton game was well worth it ;D.

personally i think it's all down to what you want some will watch stoke through thick and thin, good for them, they genuinely have my respect. But if you don't feel that way it doesn't make you a bad person for christ's sake. I won't buy a ticket, for the last few years i've only gone to the odd game here and there and will continue to do so, regardless of what league we're in.

Well glory boy you are going to have to change your user name, no one will ever take you seriously on this board again. Go support Tottenham, Arsenal Chelsea or West Ham if you only give your support to Premier League clubs.

I simply can't imagine not buying a season ticket, stoke is a way of life. Exactly, I've been going Stoke with my cousin for years but never had a season ticket. This season was the first time I've really been able to afford one and I will most definitely be renewing it for next season, Premier League or no Premier League.

Now I know I'm going to get some stick but there must be a fair number who feel the same? I'm happy to pay the £200 every other weekend to watch my team play quality football against quality opposition. On the otherhand I'd only really make the effort in the Championship if I was going home for the weekend etc or it was a big game. No doubt this makes me not a proper fan but I'm being honest. It is a hell of a cost to pay both in terms of time and money to come to Stoke to watch them play Doncaster and for the football to be sh**. Went to Brentford on Saturday and spent the second half in the bar...... So anyway i think they should give a refund if they dont get prooted . I am more than happy to pay my money uo front for the product I want to buy. To be honest it feels a bit like price discrimination to force people to buy tickets they might not want. Ie Championship Football. As I may lose my seat etc if I dont buy. Thoughts? Tin Hat on Why did you post this? Why didn't you just say that you have: a. just taken a massive bonus for working at a bankrupt bank b. committed mass murder c. always supported Port Vale d. have a soft spot for Man United e. think Paul Williams was the best player Stoke ever had This is the sort of territory that this post puts you in.

Yes but Stoke has the added 6 hour £60 Train journey plus all the other addons for coming back home for a weekend. It basically costs me £200 and my whole weekend to watch Stoke. I'm not prepared to do that to watch Championship Football. And surely if we do get relegated the number of sales will be down 33% so at least 1 in 3 must feel the same? so in short, you're not a Stoke supporter you're a Premiership supporter! And those other 33% are what we call gloryhunters!! I'd imagine if we'd got relegated last year instead of promoted there wouldn't have been much of a drop in season tickets bought because they were the ones that were bought by supporters of the club NOT of the division we were in!!!

I don't have a season ticket because I am forced to miss a handful of games each season. However, I don't understand the logic nehind the opening post having attended as many games in the First division and Championship seasons as this. Personally, not too bothered who we play as long as we are winning.
