26 points in the bag, 14 more to get... MARCHI doubt we'll get anything at Everton, but surely 4 points from the Bolton and Middlesboro games is a realistic return? 30 points, 10 more to go! APRILWe'll end up losing a home game between now and the end of the season...possibly one of Newcastle or Blackburn, and everything will seem all dark and hopeless...but we'll win the other, and even though i don't think we'll get anything at Fulham...we're away at West Brom this month!!! Get in!!! Six points from april AT LEAST. 36 points, 4 more to go. MAYHull are crap, we'll get at least a point there, and then that leaves us with a win from either West Ham or Wigan at home, and a probable defeat to Arsenal on the last day of the season. We'll be safe by then though. 40 points!!! See, we could even lose 2 home games and still stay up. Easy! Easy! Easy! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif)

the thing is nobody thought we would get anythin at villa and we did and if TP plays both ethers and lawro we have a very good chance of going there and gettin something!

Everton are ludicrously over-rated now, loads of injuries including Arteta their best player, I really expected Albion to get something, but they really are garbage.

I like your positive thinking. Especially regarding the doom and gloom merchants who will come out should we lose a home game.

Put simply, 4 wins and 2 draws gets us to 40 points. We have 6 winnable home games left, and 2 winnable away games. So yes we could afford to lose a home game provided we pick something up elsewhere - also add in the odd fluke (Everton, Fulham away?) and our run-in gives us a great chance of survival.

If Tone allows us to play like we did second half today, then we will pick up between 4-6 points away. Here's hoping ! ;D

We cannot afford to pick and choose which games we get points from, so let's get right at Everton. Nowt to lose, everything to gain.

Thing is its just like Stoke to go and get another decent point away at Everton or somewhere, but then lose at home to the teams we should be beating

We dont need 40 points 37 will be enough ? Eh ? 37 points will see us safe? Are you looking at the same division? The one with us and 2 others on 26 and 3 teams above that already only 9 points off 37 (Spurs with a game in hand) I'm thinking 40 points may have to be 42/3 points to assure safety... Teams around us are picking up points (apart from West Brazil who are rubbish anyway) We MUST beat Blackburn & Middlesborough at home and hope the teams in the top half beat those around us - starting this midweek with Blackburn and Pompey facing the top two. If it's so "easy" for us to get 40 points as TD suggests, then have we forgotten about the teams just above us fighting it out to remain outside the bottom 3? Great 2nd half effort today and we have to take that into every game from now on. Goaarn Stoke! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif)

Hull are just three points behind Man City on 32 points (who are apparently just five points off safety) whilst at the same time they are just three points off being second bottom in the table FFS! And there's still eleven games to play! NOBODY at this moment in time can accurately predict what the cut off point is going to be come the last day of the season.

Wo wo wo hold the phone. Since when have Everton been vulnerable in the air? Weve only conceded 2 goals in our last 8 home games and our defence has been consistently superb. And massively over-rated? Since when have Everton been over-rated mate? The big four (apart from United) are over-rated. You watch one Everton game against West Brom and you think we are shit all of a sudden. I wouldnt be so sure that youll get something. You got a point against Villa but dont forget we beat Villa 3-1 only 2 weeks ago. COYB!

In thirteen seasons of the 20-team Premier League, only once has it been necessary to get more than 41 points to stay up. And only 3 times has more than 38 been necessary.
