5 minutes added time is a joke, and the ref was set out to play until chelsea scored. Perhaps he feared he would be under greater scrutiny if chelsea lost, than if we did. Not sure how the ref could do anything different regarding the added time? 4th official shows 4 mins. minimum and the goal was scored with 93 mins on clock?

I think we are bottom - WBA & Blackburn both won. nah West Brom are below and spurs are bottom with a game in hand.

Well this moves us in bottom three and that is nothing less than I expected before we went into this stretch of four games with three against ManU, Chelsea and Liverpool. Now we are going into games against easier opponents. Would anyone have believed that it took three last minutes goals from Chelsea and ManU to beat us. It is harsh but still proves that we are in the Prem on merits not by luck. We have already got 8 points against the top 5 teams and that is more than I expected in August. Thats made me feel marginally less bad. Probably choose a slightly less violent form of suicide now

we could go down to 19th if spurs win And irrespective of their result tomorrow, if we beat them when we play them, we'll go back above them!

Apologies. I didn't realise we were 17th before today & I also didn't realise that WBA's goal difference was even worse than ours. Seems that we are 18th after all.

A truly heroic performance and one which we didn't deserve to lose on our effort alone. Not surprisingly the texts came in from my Chelsea supporting mates once they'd got there equaliser and winner funny that think they were worried for a while lucky I didn't sed a gloating text when we scored. Lampard is without doubt one of the most over rated overpaid players in Britain! Unfortunately I never felt we were safe throughout the game and am worried about our lack of ball retention and allowing of the opposition into our half without a challenge being made. No wonder we were dead on our feet after spending 80 percent of the game chasing the ball. Though we were dreadfully unlucky to lose if I was a Chelsea fan and the score had remained at 1-0 I'd have been gutted with the number of opportunities they'd had if they'd had there shooting boots on it could have been 5/6-1. Hopefully we can bounce back and with a couple more new signings can bounce back up that table. Looking on the bright side we're still not adrift and have played all the big 4 home and away now (bar Arsenal). Spurs really is a huge match now.

fuckin gutted!!! but if we defend like that we should be ok for the rest of the season, just a shame we didn't really get to see how Beattie works with Ethers outside providing him. didn't see anyone who didn't give 100% though (although Cresser was looking a bit lightweight). Plenty of positives though!

Great game from our lot, we really were living on the edge throughout the match though. I think we about deserved a point. Still, a performance to build on for the next few weeks.

Thought that was part of the 4th official's role in determining the minimum amount of additional time to be played? The ref can then play more if there are further stoppages during extra time. Ah well, 4 minutes was shown, 4 minutes extra time was played, and we conceded (unfortunately). Still a great effort from the boys in red and white - need to move on and concentrate on the next two games against teams we really need to be taking points off (the proverbial 6-pointers)

Absolutely sickening. First seeing Cresswell named in the starting XI, then losing this way. This is one horrible day.

He signals the amount to be added on to the fourth official. He can then add more if there are further stoppages during that time.

Got back about an hour ago myself, ten out of ten for all the players and management, and ten out of ten for the fans, who outsung the plastic cockneys, (who are probably flying back to whichever country they are from).
Special praise to the entire defence, and the best keeper in the premier league!
More performances like that, and we will be soon climbing the table

minutes away from our first away victory being at Chelsea. Stoke were fucking brilliant, although it was a massive schoolboy error pulling Etherington off for Kitson, he was far to involved in the game to be pulled off at that late stage. The pass from Beattie that set up Delaps goal was almost hard-on inducing, as was the way Delap went through Alex and Cole like they wern't there. Its also a dick up the arse for anyone who thinks Rory is just a throwing machine. I'd love to have seen Lineker's face on MOTD when that went in the jug eared prick. Although its a loss, based on that performance we gave today it makes ALL our remaining home games look winable.

Etherington was pulled off because he had a ham string problem wasn't he?

totally agree with you bout refereeing, but dont u think that this applies to all the top five teams in the prem. everytime stoke play one of these top teams the refs seem to favour the opposition all the time. its total unfair play, its like the opposition having an extra man on the field. but thought our lads did well yesterday.
