New Look Warehouse are probably hiring. £6.30 p/h, 3 daysof 12hour shifts 6am-6pm (doing mind numbing work) and 1 4 hour shift, so in effect, 4 days off, don't work saturdays so free for stoke. But only if your extremely desperate. Used to work there, wouldn't recommend it, quit after a year, but if you dont care, give them a bell, you'll get on.
Yeah, sounds like the perfect job, but you'll be ready to kill some fucker by the end of week 1.

try Kelly Services recruitment Warrington, we should be recruiting in one of our print centres soon, will be going 24&7 on shifts to get those tax forms out. You will need to be security cleared if chosen, a lot of Polish tend to get in there

I'm still at college but applying for a job tomorrow as it's a perfect solution for me. Will have to do 2 days at their assessment centre, then go a proper interview. Won't find out until the end of March if I've got the job or not

I got offered a job today driving for the royal mail. It turned out to be £5.97 an hour so told them to shove it. I get more than that for stayin at home. By the time I took my fuel out and other bits and bobs I would be down by £37 a week. This country is fucked.

Surely if you are on a low income, family tax credits would bump up your wage?.. Thats what I was thinking the other day, im going to be made redundant from a well payed job. However I have 2 dependant kids, and I would be a fool to think I was going to get a high paid job now.. But if the worse comes to the worse wouldnt I get my wages made up..or have things changed.

Yes you do mate but even taking that into account I would still be £37 worse off. I get JSA, Tax credits, free school meals, rent paid, council tax paid and other bits and bobs. It all adds up.

Sal this thread is a wonderful idea.
My own insignificant contribution is that if I can help anyone with CV layout/content please PM me - I just spent 3 months on the sidelines myself, so have had a lot of practice. Am starting back full time next week though so please bear in mind it will not be a 12 or even 24 hour service, but I will definitely help if I can.

I am after some feed back really folks, I am working on a new small business idea and am not sure if I will set up a new base (stoke area) or sell it as a franchise. It's basically delivering and setting up equipment, all hours, 24/7. Just need to be a reliable, decent, deliver driver really. What I need to know is, are there people out there will their own vans who would work on a self employed basis, work is very well paid but is sporadic i.e. sometimes shed loads and others time quiet. PS when i say new venture, i mean linked in with an existing business not new start up
