1:30 KO would be nice if wigan could do us a favour here, as a draw or spurs victory would see us fall into 18th place again. Nevertheless though the lads did their part yesterday, but it'd be nice to stay 17th Goarnnnn wigan

I'd take a draw personally, i can't see Spurs being down there towards the end of the season but it would be nice to keep both sides "in it" so to speak.

Spurs to lose and Defoe out for a few weeks with a niggling injury* would do me. Bruce has done a good enough job at Wigan to see them fairly safe I think, whereas Tottenham might, just might, be one of those 'too good to go down' teams that actually do implode enough.
Didn't Harry relegate Soton?
(* nothing personal, this is business)

Ordinarily I would normally want Wigan and Spurs to be a 0-0 draw today, as it would be better that only two points are taken from the game rather than three, in a match involving our relegation rivals.
However I really do think that both teams have too much quality to go down, and I'm actually hoping for a Wigan win today.
If we can get through January and have managed to have stayed out of the bottom three, I think psychologically then that will prove to be a massive boost to the players, giving them real confidence for the rest of the season.

In the short run I'd like to see Wigan win today so we can stay 17th, but in the long run I reckon Tottenham will be able to pull themselves away from the relegation zone.

Anybody else think Ryan Taylor would be a good addition?
Good experience at this level, excellent distributor, and can also do a job at full-back.
I think he'd be worth a bid of anything below £3M and wigan would listen to offers for alot of their players i think.

Goarrrrrrrn Wigan, psychologically it would be so good for us to stay out of the bottom 3. Plus, I honestly think Spurs are capable of going down.

Would love the Spurs to go down if only to see the look on an ex boss's smug fat face.

Great result for Stoke.
And because its Spurs, and because its 'Arry, nobody on MOTD 2 will see it for the crap game it was.
Good weekend all round really in terms of results for us.

Good result for Stoke. We stay out of bottom three for at least a week. Now we just have to go to London and get a point.

What we need is a mass brawl this afternoon at Old Trafford, with John Terry plus two other Chelsea players getting sent off for violent conduct!
