9. got it right after Dave K went off as it was set up for him and Mama, also did a job on the Baggies by stopping them playing their style of tippy tappy, thought we bossed the whole game.

Moaned a bit cos Soares was just beginning to see a bit more of the ball when off he came, but Tonge did well
Wasnt too happy when we had a free kick and three men standing over the ball while we were virtually one on one at the back

Soares should never have come off, we should have took one of Amdy or Salif off an either put Whelan on or put Delap in the middle with Tonge out wide. Soares was well in the game up until then and looked dangerous.

8 Set out to keep a clean sheet and get at em with Mamma and Kits but had to swap early on. Great day for the gaffer against a poor team.

5 - what on earth were you lot watching?????? We set up for a draw against an utterly shit WBA side. Sitting on a 0-0 hoping to win something. Yes we got a good 3 points, but we were awful. Why can't we have more than one creative player on the pitch at any one time?
Got everything right? You're having a laugh. If we are that poor in the next two games we will struggle

8 Got the win, that's the most important thing from today. Then again we could probably put one of the ballboys in charge when we play Brazil as we would still beat them.

7.
Bit of a disappointing performance, but can't grumble at 3 pts in the bag, we really did miss Fuller today, he would have had a field day, WBA kept leaving huge gaps in the full back positions, fuller would have been pulling them apart if he played today.

Not a lot to beat. 8.5. Turned out a team that comfortably won the game, even without our main striker.

6.5 - good result, proper substitution but set out defensively - at home - against a very poor side. he gets the extra .5 for standing his ground regarding the tactic. I don't like it and never will, but it's working, so Mowbray can have no complaints.
Amdy Faye is a liability though. I really can't see the reason for his continued inclusion ahead of Whelan or Pugh. I would have also preferred Tongue to Soares, although starting with either was a welcome change.

Alan ... that's two paragraphs that perfectly (for me anyway) summed up the manager's performance today.

I wonder what ratings Ferguson, Benitez, Wenger and Scolari got today given their teams results, if this was carried out on their message boards.
Surely 1's all round?
Any mark below 7 must be the work of a PHW.

"Set up for a draw" ?? What rubbish! Played Kitson up front with Mama from the start, had to change that after just 10 mins. Brought Soares off as he wasn't in the game. Put Tonge on and gave us pace down the left (guess where the goal came from?)
Two solid ranks of four prevented WBA from passing through us. Never seen them resort to so many long balls up to Miller. I actually think this was their most effective tactic yesterday and was delighted when they left it to Greening and the Korean guy to pass square to each other for ten minutes at a time.
Having said that we do lack a creative midfielder and I'd like to see Whelan start next week.

we set out with a team more intent on stopping west brom playing rather than play our own game, tongue should of started with instead of faye, pushind rory in the middle. diao and faye simply cant play together, ffs we were playing west brom not bastard chelsea, any body else yesterday would of hit the baggies for 6, even hull!
