Tony gets a 9 from me,set up to win the match.
We were without our main goal threat in fuller, our other striker kitson went off early doors.
Excellent sub in tonge coming on for soares he looked excellent when he came on.
Ab faye and shawcross both injured late on but we held on with ease.
Super mama goal to get the win!
Wasnt the greatest of matches but we got a valuable 3pts!!
p.s Birly you are a PHW FACT!!

What worries me is when Fuller gets banned again(it will happen) and if Big Mama is out for any reason, where will the threat come from ? Do we shut up shop at home like we do away ?

8. We got exactly what we wanted with a 3rd choice striker playing most of the game. I thought playing Soares to start was the right move as was replacing him with Tong. The defense is now much tighter than at the start of the season and it is great to see us getting a few games without conceeding goals.

4 The same crap, set up not to conceed against a side that has scored 2 goals away from home all season and are totally poor.
Substitutions baffled me it seems as though we are only allowe one creative player on the pitch at anyone time.
Soares should have gone up top through the middle off Mama with Tongue coming on for Kitson. This would have given us more attacking impetus.
We ambled along and thankfully we had a shot on gaol which was enough, but overall no idea and very poor

What was the manager thinking by setting us up not to concede a goal? This kind of thinking will get us no where. Thick, stupid and retarded Pulis Hating Wankstains. Great result and that is all that counts. Lovely football for the goal that came from a long ball to Sidibie where he won the ball and we picked up the bits and pieces. Wonderful, typical, direct, SuperTone trademark, Stoke goal. With no Fuller, this was a superb result. He can have a 9.5.

6.5
I don't understand, why, when we are at home, playing a team off the park, all over the pitch, and playing with no pace up front, do we still insist of having two defensive midfielders.
When Tongue cameon, He should have taken Amdy or salif off, put Delap in the middle and attack there poor full backs from either side with pace and skill that soares showed before he was substituted and tongue shwed once he came on!
He was too defensively minded when he didn't need to be IMO

Well, he made a substitiution and Tonge played his part in our winning goal.
We protect our defence against sides by having these kind of midfielders.
We then hope to score from set pieces and direct passages of play without having to committ too many men forward.
It is the way we play and so far, so good.
We simply don't need to be fannying around with the team, especially at home. Like SuperTone admits himself, 'I'm no magician'. Keep it simple.

Hmm, we are a picky lot today! It seems we have played a couple of games this year where we have put in good performances and lost, and today, we have put in a poor performance and won. I know it would be nice to expect that Tone has a Plan B and a Plan C, can rotate his midfielders into 2 banks of 4, or a diamond, or a Christmas tree with 2 from 4 of Olly, Diao, Amdy and Delap holding, and 2 from Lenny, Tonge, Soares and Kitson linking play, but we should know by now that TP has plan A and that it it, and he is determined to stick with what he knows at any costs. And to be fair, provided that Rikki stays fit and nothing too disasterous happens, we still stand a chance of being well in touch by Xmas, and at the start of the year, any of us would have settled for that. Even if Tone has £100m to spend, we would still set up and play the same way. So although some performances might be disapointing, and I despair of us ever winning away, we are still in the mix, we got another win and therefore TP rates an 8.5 from me!

The goal fully demonstrated what we could do mkore of if the manager allowed creative football to be played up until then we had been dross playing by far the worst Baggies team I can remember. Soares was doing well and should not have been the one to go.
Cresswell was totally ineffective but according to the manger in his aftermatch comments "Cressie wa Mahhhhvellus". Assuming he was not taking the slash I award him no points but give Mowbray 9 for providing us with such crap opposition.

9.
Without Fuller, it was always likely that we would have less of a threat on goal and so it was vital that we kept a clean sheet. We did that and they weren't a threat at all.
A good substitution with Tonge too. It wasn't quite happening for Tom Soares and Tonge came on and opened them up with some neat passing.

It was a massive game, performance wasn’t important, the 3 points were vital.
TP – 10.
