Every time I see him interviewed,he impresses me. Every comment from him in the media,he impresses me. Watching him on the touchline, he impresses me. What he has done so far in the Premiership, impresses me. I bet he impresses many other Premiership football club Chairmen . And that's what really concerns me.

Not really a concern just doing what he does best

Much though I admire what Pulis has achieved here, I think he's found his level. I can't really see him being snapped up by a bigger club because he's suited to scrapping for points at about the level we're at right now.

He doesn't have enough 'glamour' to attract a bigger club. Thankfully!

Kenilworth, I don't see how you can say that. Fact is TP has proved his critics wrong so far and nobody knows (probably not even TP) how far he can go or whether bottom half of the Prem is his limit.
I would never seek to compare TP with Fergie but my memory seems to tell me that, for Fergie's first two years at ManU, they were a bottom half of the table team and many thought that Fergie would never take them further and called for his resignation - the rest is history.
We'll never know if TP can cope with the demands of being the manager of a team at or near the top unless or until that day arrives. When Martin O'Neill was at Norwich I didn't expect him to have the career that he has done - in fact I thought he would make a better pundit than a manager!
I do agree though that a top club is unlikely to bid for him at present. My worry would be that a club in difficulty with deeper pockets than us might do what Spurs did to Portsmouth.

Likewise, for all the good work Phil Brown is doing Hull, he would not attract a "bigger" club. Mowbray is the same.

I wouldn't be so sure.
The really clever PHW's on here used to tell us that mid table obscurity in the Chamionship was his level.

If a chairman was willing to give Tony Pulis the financial clout so that he could compete with the supposed top four clubs then there is no doubt that he would not only get a great balance throughout the squad but he would deliver the goods too.
Make no mistake Pulis knows all the tricks in the book when it comes to managing players on an individual basis, in much the same way as a certain Martin O Neill. One thing that you could guarantee is that if Pulis releases a player to go either to a lower level to what they're performing at or indeed the same level then you can guarantee as that player is not going to ever play above the level that he was released at.
Top man Tony Pulis.

So you don't think that Karl Henry and Wolves will get promoted then, Tazi? ;D And Iwelumo never played in the Prem with Charlton?

If Wolves did get promotion then i doubt very much if Karl Henry would be able to perform in the top flight and that is what was meant by my-self. Where Iwulumo is concerned he didn't hack it at Premiership level either.

And Iwelumo never played in the Prem with Charlton? As far as I am aware, no....he didnt. He only played for Charlton 2007-2008 and they werent in the Prem. :-)

Ok ok i admit that i may have confused the word play with the word performing.
No doubt Henry might get promoted with Wolves to the Premier League but i doubt that he would perform there as he would look very very average to say the least.

Tazi, you said "play" at that level not "perform" at that level! So if KH plays one game for Wolves in the Prem you will have been wrong in your prediction.
Forgot that Big Chris didn't join Charlton until they were relegated.
Haha - crossed in the post! ;D

Jamie is right. Iwelumo has never played at Premier League level. Henry is not crap- he just wasn't given a proper chance at Stoke. For some reason Brammer was considered a better option!

I wouldn't be so sure. The really clever PHW's on here used to tell us that mid table obscurity in the Chamionship was his level. Fuck me, I must have missed the 5 seasons where he managed to keep us in the Premier League. We've won 3 games and suddenly Pulis is the new Bill Shankley.

TP's stock will have risen and he deserves it. No doubt he casts a wry smile back to not so long ago when he was gardening for 2 years until Coates took his spade away.Always seen as a solid lower league manager...now I guess its lower prem / upper champs pedigree. But he is on the up and you never know.

Not sure about another Prem team coming in for him but, if he continues on his current route and achieve lower mid table obscurity and avoids relegation then I can see Wales coming in for him post another failed qualifying campaign - that could be a test?

Yes, I must have imagined that Mein Fuhrer has just spent 8.5 million on a couple of also-rans. It's not real. Is it? Is there no depth to your deep throats or a limit to the length of your tongues which search so deep up his rectum? "Forgive me. I have never trusted elation, not in the long run. Wind blows one way: I tend to lean the other. Can't help it. Just instinct." George Szirtes said that. I agree with him. Here we go again. sally, to answer your question properly. He will be here for a long time yet. He's doing ok. Ignore the 'banter'. OS.

Krazy, I reckon TP will manage Wales one day. Apart from Mark Hughes (who has done the job) he is the highest profile Welsh manager by a wide margin. However, assuming we stay in the Premiership, I think TP will want a few seasons to see just how high he can get us. All things being equal if we stay in the Prem I could see TP managing us for 5 years more ( a nighmare for OS ) before moving to the Welsh job as his last one before retirement. I think the Welsh job would suit him as it would fit in well with his continuing to live down South.

Did you also forget that he did 2 seasons at Colchester, 1 actually playing against us before joining Charlton aswell?
That's because he has never played in the Prem Tazi!!!

OS You don't have to trust elation, just simply enjoy it while it lasts. We all know we will have a swirling wind this year but just hope that when it stops that we are left with sunshine and not little black rain clouds. Rome wasn't built in a day Pugsley, and neither was it built without the appropriate funding. Maybe you just missed the general year on year improvement of the club as you were too busy moaning your fucking arse off with the rest of them?

I must have fell asleep during another 0-0 home draw to Rotherham and only woke up on Sunday to find Pulis had turned into the greatest thing since sliced bread.
