Ronaldo diving all over the place, West Ham denied a clear penalty, ManUre given a penalty for an incident outside the box.
When will it end and when will a referee finally stand up to Ronaldo?

they always cheat and get away with it, about time they were beaten today fair and square. ronaldo maybe a good player, but he still has the manure spirit instilled in him, cheat to win.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool all have players who cheat and dive. Pantsil conned a free kick out of the ref which indirectly led to West Ham's equalizer.
Yet Man Yoo are the only ones villified on here. Don't really understand that. The big four are all as bad as each other, at least United and Arsenal are good to watch.

'The guy is a class in every aspect of his profession '
Sorry but's that's crap- he's a great player but cheats- seems to be accepted in Potugues football- look at Deco (yes I know he's Brazilian born), Postiga etc
How on earth you can say he's class in every aspect in beyond me- if you think cheating is fine then I apologise-shame because great talent

I think the accusations of him diving are exaggerated, more decisions go against him when he's fouled because of the myth of him diving . Yes he does come across arrogant on the pitch , but he a superb player and great to watch . Fabregas and Joe Cole are worse in my opinion . Joe Cole cries everytime he's tackled .

No he does dive it isn't a myth and refs are getting wise to him

What do you call that dive yesterday that got an innocent West Ham player booked?

Post by kingdeano on Dec 30, 2007 13:12:00 GMT
theirs quite a few players that dive, i wont stick up for ronaldo and say he doesnt cus he does, but the pace he carries the ball at means that the slightest of touches and hes over, sometimes yes he makes the most of it but god what a player

Players dive from most teams , so why single him out ? .

|
|
Post by meladben on Dec 30, 2007 13:48:27 GMT
people single him out for two reasons,
1) he's a man united player (obviously ) 2) he's a cheatin wan*er again (obviously)

He's singled out as he's the main culprit in the Prem- sure players dive but does that mean Ronaldo's antics are acceptable then?
|
|
|
Post by kingdeano on Dec 30, 2007 15:04:41 GMT
they certainly aint acceptable. but fact of life is, it goes on. he dives just as much as certain other players do. think its just with him playing for man u people hate him more. but still diving or not, the bloke is a great footballer

Who said its acceptable ? .
Why is it acceptable for the likes of you to single him out when there is a bunch of players doing it ? .
Trying to get players booked or sent off , x rated tackles , making a meal of being tackled by rolling around as if you have just been shot which Ronaldo though admittedly goes to ground easy does not roll around like Joe Cole and others , none of these are acceptable .

No one questions this guy is a brilliant footballer...but he does use his skill to be devious in a negative way... and perhaps this in one so talented is actually a major flaw and something we quite rightly point out and find abhorrent.
Surly if Manure are as skilled as they are wealthy, they don't need to be so underhand. I am certain Mr.Ferguson does not condone foul play by his squad. He certainly would not tolerate it in other teams (give us another 10 mins of extra time so we can score ref ?)
I suppose getting Rooney sent off for England and diving so less skilled players get booked...or sent off is something we should applaud?
Nah...and its got nothing to do with his arrogance or pushing others players out of the way to celebrate when he scores...because Ferguson does not accept that at Manure!

Rooney got himself sent off, unless Ronaldo was using a magnet to attract Rooney's studs to Carvalho's scrotum.
How are Man Yoo different from Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Milan, Real Madrid, Barca? All have players who dive and cheat, why single Man Yoo out?

We can go on about Ronaldo diving but there is a person closer to home who now and again takes the odd tumble, Our very own Ricardo. Lets face it players do it, Some more than others and yes Ronaldo does do it but you cant take away the fact hes a great player.

It's a real plague. It starts at the top and filters down. Little kids everywhere are watching Ronaldo and Cole and think that it's clever to dive around in the box. It goes against the spirit of the game. Players with the skill of this pair and others such as Fabregas should be the people that young kids look up to, but what kind of example is that?
Don't think that wearing blusher will catch on though.
