It’s not overcomplicating anything tbh. It’s a very standard formation in some parts of the world. With the players you’ve picked they’d play it like a 4222 and not a 442 especially with how you’ve described how you’d want them to play. If they are drifting then that’s exactly what the second 2 in a 4222 do 🤣 If you play with two out and out wingers then it would be a 4-2-4. Neither Manhoef or Moran are out and out wingers, they can play wide and cover defensively. I'll give up at this point.🙄 Totally disagree. I’d say that shows it’s inside forwards which is what Pelach does and describes his formation better. And they can. That’s why it’d be a 4222. You’re perfectly describing it

We don’t have any wingers. They’re all shit there and none of them can beat a man on the outside

If we have any hopes of finishing in the top half of the table we need to be beating teams like Preston at home.
Preston regularly concede 3 goals away from home so if we start well and score early (as we do often at home under the lights) then there’s no reason why we can’t rack up some goals.

Surely has to be a change at RB and LB Johansson Junior Phillips Gibson (though any more cock ups and I’d drop him) Stevens Seko Burger (I assume it was just a one game ban) Moran Manhouf Cannon Bae Yep, that’s exactly the team I’d be playing also. As an aside, has anyone noticed how utterly abysmal our home record is v Preston since we were relegated? Played 6 Won 0 Drew 1 Lost 5 Scored 1 Conceded 9 Preston are a physical team that I think we’ll need to be more savvy to beat. Burger needs to put his big boy pants on and we’ll need to be patient and disciplined. No silly free kicks in our own half where possible.

He won a fuck ton of headers and it allowed us to play.

Ok, must admit would like to see him there, going outside He'd probably get some decent crosses in too However in the side picked, whose playing right side? I don't think the teqm has to be so regimented, Sidibe and Seko are obviously the two central midfielders but Moran and Manhoef are both capable of playing on the right or left of those two, neither are out and out wingers so both would be comfortable right or left. Not seen Moran play wide Might be interesting, he's got good control and an eye for a pass Maybe worth a look

Not long for Moran to recover from whatever he’s got. Unchanged but Burger for Sidibe? Trying to guess not saying who I’d play.

Playing Wilmot is stupid for 2 reasons.
Junior has started to play well.
Wilmot is fucking dogshit.
Both full backs will hopefully change for Tuesday and then stay the same for Burnley.

Ever since I was a kid, Preston just makes me go meh. For such a historic club, they just bore the life out of me and seem to always serve up an absolute borefest and all to frequently not a win for us. Along with QPR I really wouldn’t be bothered if we never played them again.

They've not wn in six conceding 12 goals in the process. Apparently Derby had one shot on goal yesterday and scored from it. I did tell him not to worry as the SCFC Charity Bus was about to pull up at the Preston stop but he wouldn't be convinced. We do need to get at them from the off.

After Saturday’s awful performance this game seems to have taken on extra importance or is it just me? It’s going to take Pelach a good deal of time to get us challenging at the right end of this league but l feel he will get there. He has to stop the amount of shots opposition are having against us being his first priority. We have a chance to create some breathing space with a win tomorrow as l can only see us losing our next two games after that. A poor result and performance and l see more pressure and negativity hanging around the club and the manager

I wouldn't say Saturday was an awful performance to be honest, yes we rode our luck at times and we have to limit the amount of shots we concede, but we created some really good chances ourselves.

Preston draw specialists.
Always play well at Stoke.
This looks worrying……

If you mean Junho’s goal, it was a strangely timed decision but not one that would have been overturned by any form of review. It was not a clearly erroneous decision.

Just rubbish Naah the only rubbish is people trying to say it was a clear refereeing error. If he gives his decision earlier no one gives it a second thought. Giving the decision when the ball is in the net is the only thing that makes it remotely contentious.

A good old 4-4-2: Viktor Junior Wilmot Phillips Stevens Manhoef Sidibe Seko Moran Koumas Cannon I did wonder if Cannon-Koumas might be worth a try. Koumas' best show was central and Cannon often looks lonely. But neither look like they can hold up the ball, so it might be a disaster. I'd also wondered about Manhoef on the left for part of games. Give them more to think about and let him cross.
