Worst refereeing display here for years.
He reffed that game exactly how Millwall would want him to, let them do their dirty cheating antics and penalised us for every little infraction.
He should be investigated for that. I have no doubt he didn’t give the penalty because he then would shave to send him off too.
At the other end he doesn’t hesitate.

No accountability is there, so why we continue to moan about these inept useless cunts I don't really know.

Someone needed to tell that liner it wasn’t Sunday league (offsides and throw-ins only).

Is there any way we can refuse to have him ref our games. Every time he refs us he tucks us up.

Can’t blame the ref too much on the penalty appeal as it’s such a crowded box. But what the hell is the linesman doing? He’s right in line with it.

I said in the match day thread, it’s got to be corruption.
It can’t be incompetence, if it is he’d never ref again.

Incompetence over corruption in the overwhelming majority of refereeing decisions, but the way the ref was giving someone sideways glances after not awarding the penalty was a little suspicious.

Can’t blame the ref he’s in line, follows the direction of the ball and it’s not as if it was a subtle pull he hauls him backwards, Burger will at least have whiplash after that

The ref was shit but the assistant referee needs demoting for not having the balls to give that penalty….

The penalty shout.
I saw a handball and a blatant pull.
Is that about right?

And people don’t want VAR I'm of the opinion that it is time to completely remove the current refereeing setup and replace it with a modern system. I've long been of the opinion that the only reason we continue to rely solely on the current system is because they introduce a level of entropy... I.e. they are so fucking shit, their inability to do their jobs effectively adds to the 'entertainment'. If it was about the Sport: - Offside could be easily 99.9% accurate with a combination of the tech Adidas use, existing infrared and positioning systems that have been deployed in other sports etc. - Goal line tech already exists - VAR for the big ticket decisions that we don't want to trust some useless cunt who got dragged here under the bumper of the Milwall team bus. - Throw-Ins could be easily made 99% accurate with the same tech Adidas have been using for years to collect data. With minimal effort these could be turned into a real time system, relegating cunts like that prick today to nothing more than a spare part wanker running around giving the petty 50/50s that he wishes he could red card everyone for but he knows deep down that VAR has taken his job... The bent little twat. Problem solved. Super accurate decisions. Bollockless refs with no real power, running around waving their whistle, pretending to matter like the ego driven cunts but ultimately they become meaningless pricks. Could replace them with volunteers from the local hopscotch team. The likes of Mike Dean would cease to exist. Sadly, cunts like the ref today and Mike Dean are merely 'part of the product' nowadays. Next up for this prick, I'm a celebrity.

Millwall 'got away' with penalty decision
Harris: "From where I was it looked like a penalty. I think we got away with one there."

Millwall 'got away' with penalty decision Harris: "From where I was it looked like a penalty. I think we got away with one there." Harris is a wanker as well so for him to say that really is quite telling. Quite simply the most incomprehensible refereeing decision I have ever seen.

I calmed down a bit now so I can be a bit more thoughtful in my response of the officials today.
The penalty decision from my seat in block 24 was as cast iron a penalty I've ever seen in my years as a Stoke fan.
For the life of me it was ridiculous that the ref did not give it but even more galling that the linesman with an unimpeded view of the incident didn't flag it.
As you all witnessed, the absolute rage from the crowd was thoroughly deserved as it was the single most shocking referee decision I've seen in my life.
The sooner decisions like this are eradicated in the lower leagues the better.
If the officials are anywhere near our stadium again this season then they deserve every bit of abuse that comes there way.

Do you think the ref has seen a replay when they went into their changing room and is thinking "oh shit" or "happy with that" 🤔

Whoever he is he’s fucking useless Posted at half time! Forgot to blow his whistle to start the minutes silence and got progressively worse the longer the game wore on. They kicked, pulled and pushed off the ball all game long and he saw absolutely nothing.

As this is the second time Bell has been replaced for Stoke games is it reasonable to assume Stoke have objected and somehow got what we wanted? No, absolutely not. Every team in the league thinks there’s some sort of conspiracy with refereeing but there’s isn’t. The standard of refereeing is fairly poor, but it’s been like that for literal decades. We’re absolutely not special and we never have been. As long as our players on the pitch do their job the referee is more or less irrelevant. There isn’t a conspiracy, but there is a concious bias working against us at home. Nobody can tell me that refs don’t see Stoke at home as a game where they can be seen by the powers that be to “stand up to the crowd”. But it’s based on Stoke of 10-15 years ago. We get refereed as though we are a big strong physical outfit when we are not. Teams like Derby and Millwall are allowed to come to stoke and play every dirty trick in the book when at say, Burnley or Sheff Utd there shirt pulling and ankle taps and would be stamped out immediately. It’s a lazy predetermined attitude but it helps them climb the greasy pole.
