Is there any chance of us signing the lad permanently, or is he too good for Liverpool to let him go. If people think Cannon is worth 10m, then what price Koumas?

Firstly yes he is too good for Liverpool not to want to see more of him and secondly even if they didn’t why on earth would he sign for a club in a permanent death spiral ??

Having said that, a fucked Koumas is ten times the player of Ennis

No chance.
He's way too good for a perennial hovering above the relegation zone Championship club like us!

When Lou, TP, Hughes etc were here we signed players. We seem to have accumulated a bunch of over rated arseholes no doubt on top money over the last few years. After those years in the top flight the best Stokies can hang on to is frozen ST and free away travel.

Playing in this current team will do him no favours and there were representatives from Liverpool there tonight to assess his overall performance.

Of course playing every week in the championship will do him plenty of favours. Liverpool will be very pleased with how he’s doing at the moment and very pleased with how we’re utilising him. No doubt about it.

Playing in this current team will do him no favours and there were representatives from Liverpool there tonight to assess his overall performance. I questioned this earlier on in the season. Moran & Koumas have come from parent clubs that flourish in youth development at the highest level. It'll be no surprise when these clubs and others refuse to loan out their young talents to us that could hamper their development. Nothing is guaranteed in football, but if there's one club certain to knock any degree of potential out of a player, it's ours.

We had to fight very hard to get Koumas and we may well have to fight hard to keep him until the end of the season. Time will tell but I don't think he'll be here after Christmas.

It doesn’t happen for most loans in the championship.

Koumas probably won't make the Liverpool grade long term in my opinion. It's an incredibly high standard that very few players reach and I don't think he's quite going to reach that level. However I do think he's definitely going to be a Premier League player in the future so from that perspective we've got absolutely no chance of signing him. As others have said, we'd have to get promoted to stand a chance and there's absolutely no chance of that happening anytime soon. We're in a long term decline and any recovery will take a number of years. By which point he'll have already established himself somewhere in the Premier League with someone else.

Development has a huge part to play, with coaching that will improve his game. He’s getting better though, after his first couple of games he was pretty poor but recently he’s getting much better. His awareness at the start was at a poor standard but you can already see it’s massively improving.

Oof!! Crossed my mind, must admit. It’s most amusing. As for Koumas he should be played through the middle instead of Cannon. And I think people are underestimating how much Liverpool think of him and how could he can be. I think he stands a decent chance of making it there.

He most certainly won’t but he’s already the best player we’ve got. I think he should play through the middle at the weekend with a stacked midfield. Cannon would be a useful sub if we need to change the game second half

When you loan out a youngster, to see them getting regular game time week after week in a competitive league is worth it’s weight in gold.
What would be the point of recalling him and loaning him out to Leeds, PSV, Stuttgart, Ipswich or someone else a step up for him to spend half of his time out of the team?

Hes our best player if you ask me. Liverpool are more likely to get concerned we're flogging him to death by over using him if anything..

Liverpool would probably use his loan this season to sell him for a better wedge than they would be able to if he stayed there.
