If he hits it off with Gallagher or another & keeps scoring, then we need to consider Buying him,but not at Ā£10m. If he keeps scoring then we won't get a sniff if we offer Ā£10 million

He's got 7 goals I'm confused as fuck š¤· Could be describing Ricardo But Fuller very clearly had game changing technical ability. I'm still struggling what to make of Cannon. His tally of 7 goals is good. But suddenly looks less good when you consider that 4 of them came in one game and a lot of them are penalties. I'm still not convinced by his open play contributions and his ability to play well in this team as a lone striker. That said though, goals breed confidence and his open play performances have definitely improved in the last couple of games. Hopefully he's settling in and finding his niche in the team. And if we ever get Gallagher back I think he could score a lot in the second half of the season.

Playing as a lone striker seems to be the default these days and has been for a few years now. So as a young player who presumably has been raised in an era where one up front is dominant I was hoping he'd be a bit more of a natural at it. As you say though, it is a difficult role and he's shown promising signs that if we can get him a decent partner, whether that's Gallagher or someone else we can get in January.

He has already matched last seasons top scorer Vidigal (6(7). Its clear that he can find the net, and we need to do two things, 1) play to his strengths and 2) get the cheque book out in January.

He's a poacher, and that's fine.
This means he can't play in a 433 really because it asks too much of him.
But in a 4231 or 442 he does well.

Like if you signed for a million or two youād be thinking he was ok value but he just leaves a lot to be desired.

Tanganga is possibly the best centre back in the division. Cooper and Tanganga possibly the best centre back pairing. Cannon caused them trouble with his movement all day. And he refused to be bullied. Kicking them back twice as hard. I love him. Disappointing he couldnāt convert one of the half chances that came his way but overall another excellent performance.

We looked very very good at times today but pretty toothless up top. I mean the ref utterly ruined the game for us but I don't think we were ever going to score more than 1.

Wrong on all counts. Carry on. You donāt think heās slow? Itās like heās running backwards and why he ended up on his left foot so often. Just awful forward play. No heās not slow. Iād describe him as average in terms of pace for a striker. Not lightning. Not slow. But heās clever. Finds space. Works hard to keep the defence occupied. I really like him.

Like most of our āPromisingā Strikers over the last 6 or so years. He needs competent players around him to succeed. Intelligent through balls to run in to. Maybe a striker playing close to him. Heās not individually brilliant. With our midfield he is always going to struggle.
