Originally sceptical, said he wouldnt score more than 5 whilst on loan to us. Very happy to be proven wrong, if he’s available we need to sign him. His all round game needs work but he is only 21/22. He should smash double figures for the season and when was the last time we had a striker do that.

One for the stato’s. Who was the last player we had that scored 10 before Xmas? Fuller in the 07/08 promotion season. He scored a hat trick against West Brom on the 22nd December which took him to 11. And what a hat trick it was. A thing of beauty against the baggie bugars. |

No definitely not that would be silly and he's definitely not shite However that particular chance is the type he's put away routinely put away at youth level Looking for that type of chance to go in, that would make him a hugely reliable killer striker like say Sheron was at this level Just concerned he may not translate his ruthlessness to senior football (or just not yet ie not for us) As I say it's a nag not a definitive set in stone criticism, I'm not Bayern who makes a snap decision and never deviates from that From his point of view he makes that run over and over which is great, up to his team mates to find him quicker/earlier and more regularly The other factor is he was clearly massively more effective in tandem with Gallagher |

Reminds me of Peter Thorne - not the tallest, quickest or strongest but an absolutely quality finisher. Think he’s getting better game by game at playing up front alone too.

Why is anyone questioning a player who has scored as many in a few games as our top scorer did last season?
If he could do all the other stuff that folk want, he would be nowhere near our football club. Just be thankful we finally have someone who looks like he is desperate to score goals.

I also don't think Thorney added too much to our overall play, but what a striker he was for us. Like Thorney, Canon also wins more than his fair share in the air too, for his size. |

I don’t care if he does fuck all all game, he looks like a player that if he gets a chance there’s a high probability it’s going in and that’s what I want from a striker.
It’s the midfield to the side and behind Cannon that are the issue from an attacking perspective.
