....Pelach is a great manager for Stoke now?
For me, he knows what he's on about, a good tactician.....not just talk.

It’s still far too early to say.
Plan A was good today.
I would like to see more game management and a Plan B from him. He should have used subs earlier and we might have nicked a win.
What was with faffing around for almost 10 mins with Vidigal on the sidelines ready to come on, not brought on whilst Norwich brought on several subs. It was weird.

He clearly has a plan, I think recruitment will be interesting. We have definitely been better in the last 3 games

Far too early to declare whether he's a great manager for Stoke or not. But there's some encouraging signs that he might have some tactical intelligence and be able to influence the game during the match rather than just reacting and panicking.

Though that was an excellent performance 2nd half. That final ball. / finish was missing but a very positive performance. Dissapointed with the goal. Sloppy again. But great character to bounce back immediately.
We look like a team that know what its doing and I though the amount of running was noticeable. The press very good.
I was very very sceptical and it’s still early days but lots of positives.

Do me a favour …. A great manager after hoe many games is it…?
Give him 5 or 6 seasons …. If he lasts that long which we can give good odds on him not doing that….
Sorry but not for me, I’m clearly in the minority

The lad knows his onions.
Rome wasn't built in a day though. 12th should be the target this season, if we do better than that then great.

Do people think he'll last beyond Christmas?
Thought he was nailed on to be sacked by Christmas according to some of the more knowledgeable posters on here.
Surely they weren't talking out of their arses?

Tho k if we had everyone fully fit, he could get us climbing the table

Surely they weren't talking out of their arses? I think it was more the circumstances in which he came into the job, and with negligible managerial experience to speak of. After the first couple of games, the signs weren't good.

Surely they weren't talking out of their arses? Given our last manager was considered unsuccessful with a performance of 1.4PPG, you'd assume that Pelach will need to make significant improvements from his current 1.0 PPG to avoid a similar outcome.

way to early to say if he’s a good manager let alone a great one , his stats are very poor atm but it’s only 5 games

Definitely. If we're still at 1 ppg come christmas he should be gone! I'm not really seeing the improvement, but it's still way too early to tell.

Far too early to say yet.
We were quite toothless today. Though we had quite a few corners their keeper didn’t have an awful lot to do.
If Lawl can provide us with more of a presence in the middle, Junho can find his form, and Gallagher can get and stay fit I think we’ll have an acceptable season under Pelach. But none of those things look like happening any time soon and I worry we’ll struggle to score enough goals to win enough games.

Its a promising start for sure. There is improvement with each game he has been the boss of and for now I don't think we can expect anymore than that.

It’s far to early to say. All I would say is that we still have a squad lacking quality (and physicality, identity etc) This brings serious challenges for any manager especially during the later parts of the season. If he can unexpectedly get us into the top six then for me he has performed a biblical Miracle.

It's early days, however I like the cut of his jib. The recruitment team need back him in January though. We're very light and really struggling in certain positions. The more and more you look at it Walters and the recruitment team had a stinker in the summer

Not really.
Don’t get 3 points Tuesday and it’s a poor start overall. Big game.
Look better defensively and fitter.
But midfield and forward positions are definitely a concern. Not creating anywhere near enough chances.

I’m sure if we had a bit more quality on the bench he would have made subs earlier. The bench today was low on potential game-changers so you can argue he did the sensible thing in keeping the starting players on when they were playing well.

Far from a great manager so far, though slowly moving in the right direction. His use of subs, or lack of, worries me as he seems incapable of making a decision to change/win the game - hopefully this will come with experience.
It was bizarre today how Vidigal seemed to stand on the touch line for 10 minutes whilst the coaching team decided who should come off, when or if at all. In the meantime Norwich made a number of subs.
Also, he’ll never be great unless he sorts out our throw ins. The players never seem to have a clue what to do at a throw in and more often than not end up throwing backwards for the ball to go back to defence. I’m not expecting Rory Mark 2 here, he was a one-off that we’ll probably never see again, but there seems so little movement on throw ins and a lack of awareness where to throw it to a player to get an attack going. Too many throws were above chest height to a player today making it impossible to control. This isn’t a new thing, it’s been going on for a number of seasons, so overall I blame the coaching staff re this but time for our new Head Coach to sort it out.

If we disregard the early defeats (and I think it's fair to do), he's had an encouraging start, but the real test comes when the team starts losing matches. Can he lead the team right back and pick up on the good form, or do we go back to being inconsistent?
