Same team?
Welsh international and son of ex Cardiff player Koumas to score Tymon to score for them?
Won't be upset with a draw I think Looking for more positive forward play whatever the score
Speaking of draws what's the latest we've gone into a season without a draw? , Fleetwood wasn't a draw.

I was thinking about this last night. I think the answer is 12 games in the 1998/99 season under Brian Little.

We don’t draw much, so think this will be a win for Swansea.
Would be nice to get something though.
We need to be on it from the get go and get at them. They are nothing special.

Stevens,Wilmot and Cannon were all stretching their muscles before coming off and in Cannon’s case just before the end of the game.Gibson signaled to the bench about Stevens and he was substituted in the next couple of minutes. Hopefully all 3 will be fine 🤞

We never have close games at Swansea, we either batter them or they batter us.
Lets hope it’s the former and we go at them like Jos Verstappen went at his ex-wife.

A toughie this one. I know it's not the be all and end all but they absolutely dominated possession against Sheffield last night and can't see them missing as many opportunities at home. Hope they do though 🤞

Hopefully it’ll be the same again or close too as bringing on the subs showed what a drop to the levels they made.
A draw would be decent but it’d be nice to start an unbeaten run so that yesterday doesn’t come accross as a flash in the pan.
Yesterday hopefully shows what works and we’ll stick with it barring injuries.
Only players that I think could improve us further could be Phillips and Manhoef but it’s where we’d fit them.

Can Gallagher go again after such a long lay off?

Can Gallagher go again after such a long lay off? good question apart from the internationals most of the players will have a good break after this game so that might help?

No one is that special in this league but we regularly get fucked over by a bunch of blokes I've never heard of This fixture has not (at Swansea) produced a draw in the last six seasons, but we are 3-0-3 (GF9 GA11) in those games. We've been the more successful in our head to heads since being relegated (6-2-4), despite being so shit. Overall they're one of the few teams we have a positive history with: www.11v11.com/teams/stoke-city/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Swansea%20City/ They will be alive to our 4 goal threat and 4-4-2 system, but we have to stay unchanged I think. Maybe Manny for Koumy if fit. As others have said, if they can get through this game they'll mostly have some time off to recuperate before the next.

Set up and style away from home will be interesting .. a continuation of last night or a modified but cautious version of Boro
Id prefer last nights , with the defensive strength ( and the attacking threat ) coming from that set up and approach , rather than reverting back into our shell ..take the game to them

Hope they do though 🤞 Boro usually have 70% possession in games. Although doing nothing with it in that game we had more than them. Hopefully get the balance right

Its rare I’d say tactics should be weighted by consideration to the away support .. but with the bonding still fragile between fan and team it’s one game that Stoke need to box really clever , a positive approach even if it ends in defeat would likely see the bonding continue , or at least not be overly damaged ..a repeat of Boro and your back to square one , on here at least the international break then gives the HC some time ( absences accepted ) to fine tune , review his preferred model , possibly with a behind doors friendly , training ground is where you experiment and hone change and decide if your good enough to go public with your change.. Be positive Stoke ( not reckless ) and certainly not scared of your own shadow

I don’t normally say this about a competitive Stoke match but if the level of performance is there and in a similar vain to the Portsmouth match the result won’t matter too much for me.
At this stage the manager and players are still finding their feet together so if we can maintain a consistent performance level the results will come in time but not necessarily this weekend.
So for once for me the level of performance is almost as important as the outcome.

Same team if everyone is fit, with the possibility of resting Koumas for Manhoef if he’s available……

At the start of the week I’d have been happy with 4 points from Portsmouth and Swansea. Obviously the Portsmouth result changes the mindset and mood a little, but hopefully we continue the performance levels and look solid.
Perhaps a look at Seko or Sidibe depending on what’s in the tank for Moran or Burger, but beyond that we’re probably looking unchanged, imo.

Can't not play the same team if all fit and available, Maybe Million for Koumas, run himself in the ground on Wednesday

Not sure where Seko is in the managers plans. He was an unused sub against Portsmouth, suggesting he is way down the pecking order. Must be difficult adjusting to a new country and culture, especially if you aren't playing week in week out.

Million would upset the balance with 2 forwards for me.
The system needs a wide man to put the ball in, not beat everyone and shoot. He’s much too slow at releasing the ball which is horrible if you are a centre forward. So weirdly despite him possibly being our best player he misses out, and if he plays it should be on the left so he can cross rather than shoot. Which would also would be weird, because a) has he ever played left? b) He would be replacing one of our other best players from the other night.
