Huth or Faye. Absolute tanks, not like the powder puff CB’s we have now

We'd all love a Huddy, an Arnie or a Steino. But I reckon what we really need is a Gerry F@ckin' Taggart.

Denis Smith, The Tank fearless Would be taking bets on how many minutes before a red card. Great player but sadly football has become a non contact sport

Sad for goalkeepers that nobody has mentioned the best the world has ever seen played for Stoke. 😢

As a teenage girl at the time I appreciated Hudson for more than just his football, same with Greenhoff. I couldn't choose my favourite of the two. I would love to have them back to concentrate more on their footballing skills and to see if they could still be as good in modern era football. I loved Fuller just as much but we know he could do it in the Premier.

Ok, so 2 for me. Huth and Shawcross. That'd sort out the back line giving the attacking young guns confidence to do their thing without worrying what was going on behind them.

I was going to say Hudson, but we have no one who would score from his pin point passes.
So it would have to be Ritchie, very rare he didn't get 20 goals a season.

Too many to choose from the Waddington era. However, what we need more than anything is a center half. So my vote is Smith. But let’s face it every player in the Waddington’s starting 11 is better than what we have now.
we were top with 6 games ago but stumbled at the finish line. Nothing has come close since then.

Those were the days, he went into business with Dobing, no millionaire footballers. I had the pleasure of being in his company one night at Clayton Lodge. Introduced to him by a friend as a big fan (which I was) I was rather sheepish, he on the other hand was absolutely fantastic. We (he) talked (he led the chat) about football in general and SCFC. A memory of an individual I’ll never forget

In this team - has to be Glenn Whelan. Someone who would do the donkey work in breaking up play through the middle, protect his centre halves and allow those in front of him the licence to get forward/play on the front foot, give every last fucking drop of blood in his body for the club and would hold those who couldn't give a fuck accountable. A rare winner amongst our bunch of weak lily livered cowards.

Gerry Taggart. The start of all things good. Hard as nails. No nonsense. Don't mess up when he's around.
