Stieno in his Stoke City prime, whatever shot he made always seemed to hit the back of the net..... Actually, pretty much the same can be said for Sherron in his Stoke City prime as well!!!

It has to be Matthews simply because he was the stimulus for success for about 14 years of growth and success.
He was part of our testimonial year and of course his testimonial both games saw players the likes of player never to be seen again, Pele, Puskas, Yashin et al.

Abdulah Faye, Alan Hudson and stein.
I think good chance of promotion with those three.
If it was only one, it would have to be stein, we need a goal scorer!

Defender: Doddy (so versatile) Midfield: Nzonzi (pure class) Sriker: Greenhoff (best striker we've ever had)

What we need most of all in today's team is a regular goalscorer. We have had a lot of great players, but I have to pick a goalscorer. I was 10 years in -75, so in my memory Greenhoff was the stand out player around that time. I know a lot here are calling for Hudson, but Greenhoff was a regular goalscorer. Still I think I'd go for Fuller or Thorne as the main striker in today's team. Out of the two it's hard to ignore Fuller who on his day probably could have played for any team in the Prem. Goals that he scored against Villa, Bham and West Ham are goals Messi would have been very proud of. I also remember the goal he scored against Wolves in our promotion season, amazing! Yes, it has to be our number 10, Ricky Fuller.

Purely for the fact that as long as he did a few twists and turns and mugged off a few opposition players i never seemed to even mind if we lost. Hes the kind of player that used to just put a smile on my face. I was effectively paying to just watch him play. He was magical at times, a true maverick. I miss Ricky sooo bad š does he have kids, is there a chance of a Ricky 2.0 š

Nzonzi, having that beast of a player in the middle that links the defence and attack is so vital to a football team and he has been the player we have missed the most since he left.

One of those players who seemed to have that extra half a second to make the correct decision. He'd improve us instantly..

To address our dire need at CB, RB, RW and ST, it can only be Ryan Shotton.

..from our history to play today, who would you chose? My hero was Thorne but even he would struggle in this team, but for the sheer magic it would have to be Fuller. Unpredictable, skillful, magical. Big John.

From those I've seen either Stein or Bojan.
From those I've not seen, Greenhoff or Hudson.
