Wilmot gave that game to them - we are mentally weak as a football club.

There manager targeted both our full backs (second half) Jnr was especially found wanting ….. new manager said he wanted the players to react to the different phases in the game. But fundamentally fails to react or to respond to the changes Hull made poor game management and a slowness to react to hull’s changes cost us the game.

Wilmot gave that game to them - we are mentally weak as a football club. Just think he tried to force it instead of taking the easy pass outside. Unless that’s what you mean… Almost like he didn’t want to push it outside right.

I wanted Pulis back sorry guys. Pulis wouldn't get anything out of this squad. Apart from the keeper he’d shift the lot of them out.

The second half was another horror show but on another night we win that comfortably.
The game should have been over by half time and Hull needed some poor officiating and a couple of gifts from our defence for their goals. Despite the pressure they put us under second half I never really thought they looked like scoring.
The manager will have to have a serious rethink about his style of play because the players don’t have the fitness levels to sustain what he wants.

He shouldn't be here in this job.. Stoke are in a relegation scrap. We are permanently in a relegation scrap. Let's hope he's got Warnock on speedial. Hate to disagree with you mate but the only person SJW has on emergency mobile contact goes by the name of Tony.

Tell ya what does my head in, in the first half both Tcham and Cannon in quick succession gestured to the fans to make some noise. It’s fuckin infuriating, give us somat to make noise about ffs. I find it so patronising, do they think they’re helping?

Not sure what Tony but the one he played for wouldn't have advised on either the summer recruitment or the new coach on a million years.

Tippy tap pass followed by another tippy tap pass > high pressed by Hull , shit themselves under pressure and hoof. Repeat. It was embarrassing.

Totally agreed with the guy on radio Stoke after the game, manager/ Coach didn’t react to Hulls changes and we lost all control of game. Bringing a centre forward on to play right forward when his partner at right full back needed support having had his pants pulled down , what was he thinking? Awful decision. Without doubt Koumas needs to play up top not wide, probably in a two.

True though. It's live on Sky and it will be a big talking point. If we lose then the comparisons will start with Eustace and Birmingham. Hull have dangerous players and even though they've not won are capable of getting something We simply have to win this one As I pointed out earlier........

My thoughts,
Decent first half.
Did not react to hull changes at half time, very worrying. Junior completely overwhelmed.
Awful mistake let hull back in game. Awful mistake gave hull the lead. Awful mistake gave hull the game.
Hull did not have another shot on target.
Team completely deflated and heads dropped.
Cannon needs service, losing heart.
Wilmot and Gibson cannot play together.
Burger is an imposter.
Thompson, did not notice him.
Manhoof needs to be wiser in decision making.
They are not fit enough to play with the first half intensity for 90 minutes.
Needed phillips, Moran tonight.

This club has been fucked for years. Fucking Super John my fucking arse. Sacking SS was a disgrace and bringing in some 2nd string duffer from Norwich just shows what a halfwit outfit we are. Laughing stock of the league, if we stay up I'll be fucking amazed. Absolute toss

I thought we played a very good first half, even though we faded a bit towards the end of it. When we came out in the second half we sat back and gave all the initiative to Hull. Why couldn't we go on with the "at them approach"? Are we not physical strong enough to play like that for the best part of a game?

I’ve never seen this set of players come off the pitch totally knackered. Maybe the odd one or two, but most hardly break a sweat. Definitely lack fitness generally and specifically for a pressing game.
Back to basics

for the sake of keep repeating myself our defence is garbage been saying it for years not had a decent centre half pairing since Huth/Shawcross our full backs aren't up to the job people keep saying we need a 20 goal a season striker very nice if you can get one but get this back 4 sorted sooner rather than later or else bottom half will continue to be the norm no matter who is in charge

That we've managed to consistently do so is something that should be congratulated - if it wasn't so bloody painful to see.

It’s not rare for teams to get relegated, but these days it is pretty rare that relegated teams don’t mount some kind of challenge for promotion within a couple of years of going down. Since our relegation in 17/18 we are pretty much the only relegated team to not make the playoffs at least once. It’s pathetic given the financial advantage we came down with. The Premier League decline has been studied in depth, but our actions in those first few years down are what has resulted in us being a Championship also ran in spite of our resources.

Reflected over night to avoid over reaction however ssome things are pretty clear.
1 The high risk approach just took another step towards risk far outweighing reward 2 Lets be honest he was schooled by the Hull manager the tactical swiths second half totally dismantled his plan and peole would have been going banana’s if that was Schumacher 3 The core issue thought is we agian and again lose control of the middle of the pitch and make stupid defensive errors as a result of failing to control the game 4 Bocat has made tow gases defining errors in 3 days , Steven’s is far better and has to start at Boro 5 The madness of letting Laurent and Baker go in the lat week givne we had a untried Japanese replacement and a bloke with a fracture back was a gross error of judgment in recruitment by Walters and co , thet might not be great but they were better than started last night and better than came off the bench . 6 He simply has to change the in the middle of the pitch get more bodies in there and sacrifice some of the flair players Juno for one 4411 or 532 has to be the way to make us more difficult to play against . Gallagher and Million up top or Kpoumas and one of te other two Cannon needs benching until he is fit 7 i do fear and feel for him the nonsense spouted about a good squad is self serving delusion and last night he showed a deal of naivety and inexperience but put crap ingredients in a cake and you get a crap cake whoever the chef . we have to load the middle fo the pitch and stop being walkovers Watford , Oxford and last night have shown if we dont we are the leagues whipping boys and i realy fear one of the better stronger physically team is going to run riot if we dont and we are on a very very slippery slop 8 Jnuior is hopelessly exposed week after week more Hoover nonsense see Laurent by the boo boys he was a infinitely better player and we are missing him terribly we are by the loss of those players Campbell , Laurent , Hoover , infinitely weaker than when we finished last season.
Really fear we are in trouble and we need a old steady approach on a young experience stop being overrun week after week

If Manhoef wasn’t such a narcissist and played for the team not just himself we would have been 3-0 by halftime Totally agree with you there, if Manhoef picked his head up and looked around before trying to shoot he would have seen there were a couple of times where all he had to do was pass the ball and it would have ended up in the net and game won. There was one where all he needed was to square it to Cannon and Cannon would have been on scoresheet. Now I'm not a big fan of Cannon's but if he ain't getting the service........and people are coming on here slating him.
