Saying “ we looked out of energy “ Mmmm Sounds like preseason didn’t get us the fitness we needed

I think that both Pulis and Hughes made a shaky start to their management careers at Stoke Arguably a much tougher task now but with similar expectations re rapid progress. A very honest and thoughtful post match interview from Pelach Tough upcoming game at Middlesbrough Hughes won his first game I think we lost away at Liverpool? Walters missed a late penalty, I think. We beat Palace at home, though.

A little concerning that he couldn't see that their half time sub, the no.7 was tearing Junior a new one and didn't do anything about it until we had gone from 1 up to 3-1 down. Not being wise after the event, it was blatantly obvious within the first 10 minutes of the second half Junior should have been hooked for Dixon.

You should look forward to the first game under your new manager, but I was dreading it and that's why. Who knows if he'll come good, but I feared tonight because he probably had no real idea what to do other than pick a team and hope it clicked.
A week to try and put a stamp on things but nowhere near enough players to drop the number that need dropping. And what about the fitness side? That needs some serious work too.
This could turn into a right old mess, please don't let it!

We don't half have some fucking wet wipes supporting our club
Most of you WANT him to fail so you can say "I told you so"
He has had 2 training sessions, 1 of which will have been a cool down session from the Fleetwood game.

We tried the experienced manager route with Lambert, Rowett, O'Neil and Neal, we've tried the up and coming manager route with Mad Nathan and Schumacher..... Now we're trying the Ted Lasson route, in other words, no experience but has read the coach manual and talks a good game. Even Tom Cannon looks like Roy Kent, just not quiet as potent as Roy yet. This reeks of Nathan Jones 2.0, and I know it's just one game and there'll be cries of give him chance but, I fear the cliché of the jobs too big for him will be out soon along with other justifications for another cock up appointment. I see him trying to fix every fault in the playing squad and fixing nothing.

I get that he's only had 2 days with the players to influence the setup, but it's just arrogance to attempt to change so much in terms of style in that time. The team has been prepared to play in a certain way so implement any new way of playing gradually.
Get through today, use the momentum of the crowd, and infamous new manager bounce, and try to implement the style over the course of the next few weeks/months.
He's not alone in this but I don't know any other walk of life where you would try to instantly rip everything up and expect staff to be able to implement it straight away.
It's pure arrogance

Thats the spirit Hey buddy Do you fancy a big payrise and managing the second oldest club in the world? What's the catch? Well transfer window has closed. You have no competent defenders a non existent midfield and an injured striker. But don't worry I will buy you some players in Jan. You can blame the predecessor and you will be able to change things in the summer. Ok I'm in

Ah you might be right A bit of difference losing at Anfield to losing at home against a team who had only scored 2 goals all season. I think tonight was as depressing a debut for a new manager that I can recall.

Let's not kid ourselves It wouldn't of been much better with Schumacher at the helm Maybe but it wouldn't have been any worse. We wouldn't have scored from a corner 😂

Taking koumas off n leaving Cannon on is baffling me. And seeing sol was a standout player midweek .... Should've started We don't know what the fitness guys said about the two young lads both having played on Tuesday. What baffled me was seeing Junior struggling he threw Tezgel on in the right wing to help him. Why not move Manhoeff over to right wing and Tezgel through the middle? Junior should have been the first player pulled. I was very worried when I saw their half time substitute lining up on the left wing. I doubt if we'll see Junior again for a while..

I actually feel sorry for the guy. He’s been brought in by money and false pretences and he’s not got a fucking leg to stand on. We were never going to see any real difference tonight, the outcome has made it worse and the pressure is gonna be on him 10 fold when it’s the fucking idiots in charge of the club that should be held accountable for the countless fuck ups theyve made. How long is this clown show gonna go on for? 2 American actors who know fuck all about football have potentially guided Wrexham to the championship from the conference in 4 years…..and here we are fucking about! Let that sink in

My totally unqualified 'advice' would include the following. 1/ Don't play people out of position. 2/ Don't mess about passing along the penalty area or to people 15 yards away, with their face to your goal who are ,marked. 3/ Don't remove someone (Koumas) who's played quite well by someone as 1 above, when he should obviously have replaced the central striker. 4/ Don't replace that central striker by someone who has not to this point looked likely to do anything useful. 5. Don't look totally confused. Your predecessors going back to MON did this, with the exception of Alex Neil who just looked angry.
Here's a'do'. 1/ Give 90 minutes to the few players who even if they're off form have genuine quality and always have the potential to do something terrific. Bae, Burger, Koumas and Manhoef come to mind.

The whole outfit is a joke,no wonder the players are ambling around not giving a fuck when they are being managed by some halfarsed twat that hasn't played much but Sunday League!! This isn't going to end well! Now I've said that, put a tenner on us winning the league🤣 H

Just get behind him ffs. Joke of a fan base. Booing a team off the pitch with a new manager when he’s only been here 4 days is madness. We just aren’t stable has a club fans included in that. Everything is sitting on a knife edge. Too many extremes if we win 1 people talk about promotion lose 1 we’re getting relegated. I don’t agree with Schumachers dismissal but we can’t not pick at every single thing that doesn’t go our way with a told you so attitude. the booing comes from years of frustration, it will stop soon enough and be replaced with chants of ‘ Walters, Coates out ‘

So if he had stayed then I can’t see the result would have been much different. What I am concerned about is that we’ve replaced Schuey with a soft touch fanny who has no authority, and they piss about without discipline and concentration.

I mean it’s only one game but wtf was he thinking putting Tezgel right wing? Not Tezgel’s fault as it’s clearly not his position. But it was 1-0 when he made the substitution then 1-3 minutes later. I assumed one thing a Spanish coach would bring was clever tactics but that was just bizarre and cost us the game.
I know we were already shite at that point but even a knackered Koumas did a better job of supporting a struggling full back. BUT it is just the first game and he needs a few games to implement his ideas. Just hope the next few games aren’t complete write-offs during that time.

The first 10 minutes I thought we looked like a well coached pressing team. Then they got knackered.
It was no worse than most of Schumacher’s time here overall though.
Shit subs. Late subs. Defensive calamities.
Pretty standard stuff.

Defensive calamities. Pretty standard stuff. It worries me how quickly nearly every one of our squads post relegation get knackered quite early on. Suppose fitness does need to be up there with a pressing game if we want to gain possession back quickly in that Spain, Barca style. But it's nowhere near yet. I just hope he figures out the size of the task he's got after yesterday. But it's his first game so I won't go in all guns blazing. I was largely happy with that first half display, but the second half we just absolutely crumbled.

I think it's an absolute disgrace that our team have such poor fitness, it's been the case for a few years as well. It's outrageous.
