We need to judge this on the facts and not emotions. We are told he's a good coach and yes he's a very good speaker.
At the same time he was not successful in Spain where he spent 6 years in various coaching positions.
None of the English teams he spent time with gave him the managers job.
There's a big difference between being a coach and being a manager.
Having said that we should not judge him on early results, good or bad, but give him time to achieve success.
It's vital that this decision proves to be right, heaven help us if it fails.

Fucking hell indeed Suspect he's correct Very angry at this absurd gamble The fact is nobody knows how it will go. So why the hell people are already nailing their decision it will fail to the mast is beyond laughable to be honest..but it doesn't surprise me from some on here anymore. People love setting themselves up to potentially look very stupid, just look at the Koumas thread when he was announced 🤣

30 min interview now on youtube Wow, that was like an episode of Ted Lasso. I’m seeing Danny “Football is Life” Rojas with his passion, talks about himself in the third person like Zava and all this encased in the sinister aggression of Roy Kent…….love him already 😂😂

This lad is smart articulate and passionate and likeable.

He’s been brought in to be a coach a head coach Not a manager. I think he’s going to be excellent Who is the manager then? Am sure someone else can explain it better…It’s the modern system with DoF and coach, the coach just coaches the DoF does everything else. Different to old style manager that was distracted by more of the admin, recruitment etc. In a nutshell Chicho has adequate experience in theory being dropped into our current structure with SJW at the helm and supported by his coaching team

There are about four or five people coming with him. This hasn't just happened this week has it?
No wonder Steven Schumacher looked worried at times, he knew that this was coming.

Hope Bojan gave a good account of the club when they spoke yesterday...... Oooohhhhh! Juicy. More importantly Narcís asked Bojan if he’s free to do some forward coaching! is this actually true? or just made us amongst a sea of unknown information?

Definitely passionate...he will enjoy the Stoke crowd when things go well Never forgetting Nathan Jones Boothen Roar and following lap of honour when we went from 21st to 18th in the Championship. I actually think Jones was a good choice at the time. If we had sold butland that summer he might have done well 😂 he's doing well at Charlton now

This lad is smart articulate and passionate and likeable. Wonder if it was the intention for it to be a long-form one, or just the standard 7-8 minutes. Then after his first 12-minute reply to ' Welcome to Stoke, Narcis', they thought ' Sod it, we'll just keep rolling!'

I'm still pretty gutted for Schumacher but Pèlach is making me want to run through several brick walls for him. And here I am again at Step 1 of my cycle with a Stoke Head Coach/Manager. Step 1 being "I love this man, he's definitely the one to lead us back to the Promised Land, the others were all false idols". Amen to this

Is that how you see it.

Those saying it's a huge gamble, I'm not convinced it is that much of one. We won't go down with this squad whoever the manager is, so hopefully he can get that extra 10/20% from the players to help propel us up the table.... I feel like it is for Walters. We’re 13th and have not finished that high since we were relegated. I feel if we finish below that he’s going to have to answer questions especially if the consensus is our previous transfers were better than the ones under him.

So who brings in the players, Walters or Narcis? What is a head coach role?

Is that how you see it. Not entirely i think the Director of football has an over arching vision for the club that might include identity and style of play, and systems of play, that obviously has bearing on recruitment and building a team to fit the system, he then brings in a coach to work with the recruited players and within the system/ethos...is how i see it. The key is that the coach then becomes just another variable like a player who for whatever isn't performing/adhering to system can be replaced with minimal disruption and without the need to rebuild the team from scratch in the new coaches image (like the old manager system)...thats the theory

I'm old enough to remember Tony Waddington and they just got on with playing football then.
SCFC looks more like an episode of Dallas at the moment.
