Schumacher was a coward with his football. He didn’t stick with his principles and the owner has picked up on that. There’s no need to werrit over a coach who didn’t coach his players very well and showed he was a bottle job. The worry is the idiots making the decision. But people as ever don’t want to see that. I wasn't a fan of his football, but calling him a coward is too far.. No need Cue typical response of: "he is a coward though *repeats the same points for the 8th time across multiple threads*" 😂

Did they get the dartboard out and see where the arrows went. Seems a very random pick. Has anyone ever heard of him? has he ever managed before.

Surprised Walters hasn’t done a mark Bowen and appointed himself.

What would you have the club do though? Genuine question no bait If Coates is to stay he should hire consultants to find someone to run the football operation that match what he wants from football. I have no idea what that is. So for me I’d go to them and find me a technical director and head coach that do these things: Play young players Develop players for improving and resale Plays attacking football Primarily uses 4231 Etc And then hire from there. I think it’s been too bitty and ultimately I just think that John and his Dad are a bit crap at appointing football managers. Their heart is in the right place but football has moved on. Now this could be the signal we’ve done this? It’s outside the box for sure but my doubts over Walters and JC don’t allow me to think that. We just don’t seem to learn. This certainly looks a huge departure from the well trodden crap path we’ve been down for years now. I just don’t think we’d be better off without Coates money, but they certainly need guidance in terms of running the footballing side of things. It’s unfair but not unfounded to have little faith in this next appointment given our track record but I hope we at least get some exciting attacking football and use our best players in their best positions. Time will tell

I think it’s more nobody knows anything about him, hardly managed, not a head coach, what staff could he bring in, does he like Oatcake’s? All relevant questions. Which phrased like that is sound. It’s not though. There’s toys being thrown from lots of prams because we’ve sacked someone who had 3 good games. I think if SS had been sacked at the end of the season people might have understood better. It is about timing and we never get it right and sacking now looks like rinse and repeat of the last 7 seasons or so. We look a shambles.

I do struggle with this appointment.
We’re a big club and all we can muster is a Norwich coach, who’s only managerial experience is interim positions at Huddersfield where his sides looked dross.
It’s all just a bit meh and we’ll be back to square one this time next year.

He was in charge of Huddersfield at the Bet365 when we beat them 3-0 in 2022/23.
I actually remember saying at the time "This guy will go far"
