Being slightly facetious mate but Mourinho played to a shite standard, retired at 24 and spent 10 years coaching before moving into management. And before anyone loses their shit I’m not for one second comparing the two it’s just that being a crap player with no management experience doesn’t always preclude you from being a success. Why would you need to be a decent player to manage? It's an outdated concept. I didn't say you did. That was my point. |

However, my fear is that we are going to end up with a novice manager with an extremely young squad who is overseen by an inexperienced Sporting Director.
