Look no further than Walters in my opinion. I've not spoken to him yet, and won't be divulging any information. All I know is that I'm done. Dont blame you Fish, Im fucking disgusted. Why? He was doing a pretty shit job.

If we have someone lined up, how long do you leave it before announcing them? A new manager will be announced before Fridays game. It’s clear that someone else has been lined up. how is it clear?

We just need stability were heading out of control again...why not just sack ss in the closed season.... doesn't make sense Probably because in the close season they thought he was the man. Things have obviously drastically changed last couple weeks.

Being decisive is one thing, timing is everything.

I was just musing when we will announce them. How soon is disrespectful to the sacked manager? I could see an announcement on Wednesday or Thursday.

WTF He was stitched up by Walters with an absolute shite squad to start the season with, he's had 1 game with a semi fit team who haven't had much time together and few players still finding their fitness after injuries. It's a joke of a decision A shite squad? We have an excellent young LB/LWB, an experienced left-footed CB, brought in three excellent young players on loan in Moran, Koumas, and now Cannon, plus we managed to keep Burger and Junho. There are no excuses for some of the performances we have served up so far. Starting Gooch as a 10 with Moran on the bench against Oxford just took the biscuit for me. We did well with signings at the end of the window, we've only played 1 league game with them because of the international break. The new players will still be trying to build relationships with eachother, it's just crazy not to give him more time. We've started the season well all considering. We haven't even given the players time to gel, seems a rash decision on the back of a poor performance with a new looking team

"It will be poorly received" They are a member of coaching staff currently, not a head coach "I had to google him"

Oh good, 4 months of "they're not his players" whenever we lose. Can't wait. Wrong decision for me, Oxford was poor, but not THAT poor. Something behind the scenes maybe?

Fair enough imo, we’ve played well once this season, plymouth are shite and that could of gone either way, west brom beat us at home and watford was a disgrace. We would of been maximum 14th with him here so whats the point Plymouth just beat Sunderland and any team can beat anyone in this league. We have just played 3 away games and won 2 of them with clean sheets. I presume Leeds will be sacking their manager soon after hit and miss results so far if you used Stoke as the standard of how a club operates. Then you look at Coventry who have been mediocre so far should they be sacking their manager? We are a shambles and there are around 15 to 16 clubs whose supporters think they should be in the top 6 and guess what most will be disappointed. I seriously doubt he’s been sacked solely on results so far this season.

Two points i would make; - I am surprised but not disappointed. We played like it was a friendly on Saturday, and the fitness levels were shocking. I was never massively convinced that he had an absolute plan on how to develop, but we were dreadful on Saturday, and the start given the financial outlay hasn't been good enough. - I am starting to get disconcerted on Walters level of influence at the club. He seems to have an extraordinary level of influence based on the fact he used to run 'aaard for us 10 years ago. Onto the next i guess. Totally agree with the first paragraph, the season and Saturday especially has not been good enough. Has their been a falling out? Has he lost the dressing room? Have to say the club transfer business this summer has had the backing of most fans, so they again have backed the manager financially. Theyve pulled the trigger very quickly this time which has been a critisism of JC in the past. They went for what they saw as the best young attacking manager in SS, but it just didn't seem to be working. Quite liked SS as a person but not convinced he was tactically good enough. I wish him well. We go again.. let's get it right this time JC.

This club is a fucking shambles. We deserve everything we get if that’s the case. We have Ryan in interim charge, I think that’s what he meant. At least, I hope so! Not necessarily.

I’m not overly disappointed but really wanted this one to work but Oxford and Plymouth were clearly red flags. I was never a massive fan of Walters as a player,he drove me insane at times, and can’t quite understand how he la des this job quite frankly.Sounds like a Scouse bust up to me.

A new manager will be announced before Fridays game. It’s clear that someone else has been lined up. how is it clear? From the Walters statement. It doesn’t read like a crass decision based on Saturdays result alone.

Some absolute bed-wetters on here. This is a massive/shock decision, but they must have someone lined up. I will join the bedwetters if A) don't have anyone lined up B) the guy they bring in is a not fit to lace Schueys boots. Until then, we wait. They must have someone lined up? Mate, you haven’t been paying attention for the last 7 years. Love your optimism though.

Has he even done that bad of a job this season? From the outside looking in, he’s done okay so far this season.
Seems a harsh sacking unless there’s been a huge fallout behind the scenes.

They may be but he'll get them into playoffs, not sure he'll do that here. He'd be mad come Stoke. I'd love it though. But then what at West Brom? Long term we are a much better option and he could do a TP and establish us in the Prem. I agree but if he thinks that team/squad is better, may as well stay there. He may not get time with us. Whoever it is must be lined up anyway.
