For all the comments about Walters, what have I missed there?
Seems to go against his 'DNA' as a guy who works 'ard, etc

Hearing the names Graham Potter and Carlos Corberans name in this thread is genuinely laughable, why on earth would any reputable manager come to this sh*t show. Also aren’t these pair ‘managers’ I doubt they would come in under a ‘head coach’ capacity… dream on Because West Brom have financial issues that we don’t have. I think now is the time to get him. I don’t doubt the ambition it would be the right thing to do but even with financial issues they are 5x the team we are financial backing is nothing without a decent plan moving forward, I just don’t think we can persuade him with a bit more money he’s doing a very good job at West Brom and no doubt with have premier league suitors… Wolves job may be available very soon

Mental decision. 5 games into a season. Its JC who needs sacking. Its like an episode of Succession. Romulus is running the show.. We are not serious people

Schumacher had to re-apply for his job this summer… clearly had little faith in him! Blimey. Do you know what more it entailed? Was it just a formality or was it a full on thing? Crazy that we’d do this and then sack him just after the window has closed, thereby giving anyone coming in another excuse for the January transfer window of it not being his team etc. Haven’t a clue on details, was just told by a Preston staff member who is good friends with Gallagher (after he left)

If things don't go to plan.
Walters and Coates have put themselves front and center for a full on revolt I feel.
I wouldn't trust Walters to get the appointment right. New manager can dismiss the summer signings as not his.
This is going to end messy.

There must be something more to this. Punch-up after the Oxford game or some other major simmering dispute? Otherwise, I can't make sense of it. That was my take...clash of the Scousers, something said in the heat of the moment and neither backing down I suppose we will never really know Bloody shock though!

Schumacher to Everton? Maybe they have sounded him out and he was non committal to Stoke Who knows, its mad. Hope they have somebody lined up already mind, we cant just float along for 3-4 weeks losing ground and/or dropping into trouble. If Everton wanted him then we wouldn't of sacked him

The timing of the decision is madness. Give him the whole of the summer, then sack him after 5 games. If they weren’t convinced he was the man, then they should’ve let him go in the summer. The fact that he’s gone after 5 games leaves us in abit of a mess. Need to get a new manager in quickly, otherwise this could make it a very long hard season. Long term though I think it’s probably the best decision. Schumacher seems like a decent man, but large chunks of what he’s produced have been absolutely dire & I was struggling to see how he’d be successful at this club. And the fact we’ve literally just had an Int break.

I’m surely being ridiculous now but, maybe JC has convinced potter to join? This is a complete shock and very unlike us, I can’t imagine we’ve done it on a whim? You’d like to think that but history over the last 5 years says otherwise. Poor decision after poor decision. We HAVE to get it right this time.

Somebody has been lined up for a while I guess. Time will tell whether it's a bad decision but it's ordinary behaviour by a club who has stuck by managers in the past. We need a foreign manager. Carlos Corberán Why would he come here? We’d sack him before the end of the season

It isn't even 5 games in really as the season starts in earnest once the window closes - absolutely batshit bonkers to sack him a fortnight afterwards.
We've signed some good players but anyone with functioning eyes can see our midfield is weak as piss. Relying on a bloke with a dodgy back is a failing of the transfer strategy not the manager.

can only assume there is an unknown factor 'something has gone on'

Probably a foolish move involving you in a thread but what makes you say that? Genuinely interested. I’ve predicted it since Walters was confirmed. People wanted hard evidence that their views did not align but often gut instinct should not be so easily dismissed. Every manager gets sacked, so you're hardly nostradamus are you? I was hoping you may have an insight rather than just being a nob

All the hallmarks for a successful Sporting Director!!! Not!

It’s kicked off somewhere and things have been said that’s hard to take back. Was a pathetic performance and we’ve been hardly convincing this season. Maybe some harsh words didn’t go down well.

Moyes, Potter, Corberan are fancy land stuff.
Will be either some ‘up and coming’ coach from League 1/2 or some youth coach from Man City.
That’s the way everyone seems to be going these days…

WTF
He was stitched up by Walters with an absolute shite squad to start the season with, he's had 1 game with a semi fit team who haven't had much time together and few players still finding their fitness after injuries. It's a joke of a decision
