Steal Plymouth's gaffer away in a helicopter and then sack him off withiin nine months is pretty crackers/decisive.

I was never quite convinced by Schumacher. I think a lot of the praise he got came as a result of fans being so starved of success they wanted to buy into something and getting behind a manager again felt good.
That being said, I am absolutely stunned by that decision. I really did not see it coming.
If there were any doubts from Walters and Coates that he was the right man for the job he should have gone at the end of last season.
Instead we now have a third straight season where the manager who started it didn’t make it to Christmas.

After listening to his post match interview where he kept saying "I don't know why we played that way" The board probably thought the same as me you haven't a clue how to change things, good riddance to was to far out of his depth

I am glad we haven't fucked about, in denial, sliding down to the bottom half again. Cannot believe the amount of peopl saying why we have we sacked him when the signs are he is out of his depth. Talks a good talk but ultimately has not pushed us on from the start. Faith in walters that he has the back of stoke. I can't believe people are defending Schumacher. He was basically another Jones. Out of his depth. Playing Gooch equals awful manager.

If Shawcross, Adam or Whelan get this job then i'm done with the club. What the fuck is Walters playing at I wouldn't be surprised if Huth finds his way somewhere within the ranks

Can only think there's been some sort of falling out for it to come out of the blue like this.

I just don't get this at all far too early to pull the trigger. I mean after 10 games if we were just above the relegation zone then it would be justified. The only thing I can think of is high profile manager he has agreed to join.

Put this football club in the bin, we are a total laughing stock of the whole game. If it’s the players they have swayed the decision by not turning up and playing for the club I’d get rid of the lot of them far too many at our club for many years think they are a level above us… yet when have any of them showed any signs of being good enough for league 2

Sensible decision. No sign of any progress on the pitch. Watford and Oxford were two appalling displays, with the way we just threw on subs without any obvious thought as to how they might change the game but continued to keep Junior on even though their left back was beating him every time in the air, like an under 12s match. In every game half-time has seen the opposition change and get on top of us, consistently outcoached. We could have lost every game this season on performances and are almost bottom of the division on Xg in attack and defence. better to act now than let things fester.

Some absolute bed-wetters on here. This is a massive/shock decision, but they must have someone lined up.
I will join the bedwetters if A) don't have anyone lined up B) the guy they bring in is a not fit to lace Schueys boots.
Until then, we wait.

I have no inside knowledge, but I was never convinced that Schuey and Walters were ever on the same page, Schuey seemed to intimate that he was never overally impressed with the business we were doing. Wonder who they have in mind?😉😧

Let's not blow this out of proportion, but I am saying that Graham Potter's payments are finally coming to an end... I thought he was going to get the England job once the payments stopped which is why Carsley has been interim manager for so long, but maybe I was mistaken about that...

Something must have gone on after the Oxford game. Surely.
This is a mental decision considering we literally have no coaching staff either now.
New manager odds will be interesting this week!!
