I am glad we haven't fucked about, in denial, sliding down to the bottom half again. Cannot believe the amount of peopl saying why we have we sacked him when the signs are he is out of his depth. Talks a good talk but ultimately has not pushed us on from the start. Faith in walters that he has the back of stoke. I can't believe people are defending Schumacher. He was basically another Jones. Out of his depth. Playing Gooch equals awful manager. Agree to disagree. Beating Boro 5-1 away gave us a glimpse of what we could be/ have been. Im shocked at the timing. And very disappointed. Only consolation would be if someone brilliant has been lined up.

I'll reserve judgement until I see who they bring in. It seems bonkers on the face of it, but the Watford and Oxford games would have been massive red flags and we have a really young squad that needs the right man at the helm to get a tune out of them.
Time will tell.....

Fucking ridiculous decision! Were 5 games in to a new season and mid table! Doing well in the cup! Just had a decent transfer window! Fucking mental

Somebody has been lined up for a while I guess. Time will tell whether it's a bad decision but it's ordinary behaviour by a club who has stuck by managers in the past.
We need a foreign manager.

I can only assume they have a replacement lined up, ready to go. Otherwise this makes no sense. Schumacher back at Plymouth before Christmas we think?

Got Walter's grubby hands all over it with that moron Coates showing yet again he is totally unsuited to running anything more complicated than a bath. Hard to fathom what's brought it about. The fact that Morris and Shawcross are in charge for the next 2 games at least suggests this is a snap decision with no replacement lined up. The club is quite deservedly a laughing stock.

That's me done with this joke of a club! Absolutely toxic. If you find anything out mate let us know. We're all stunned by this decision and can't see any logic behind it. Unbelievable

Not suggesting for one moment that SS was the second coming but the one thing we need as a club is stability. That's 6 full time managers sacked in 6 years, we've had 10 managers in that time if you include caretakers. Plus the caretakers now. What kind of business runs like that?!
Whatever you think of Schumacher, as a business, we are light years behind other clubs that we consider ourselves bigger than. How much compensation money have we paid out in the last 6-7 years? It must be a huge amount. It's needless.
Surely you need to give a manager time to build a squad and make some progress. There will be ups and downs in that process but that's ok if you can see where we are heading. No one is ever given enough time to make this journey though. Why fuck him off just after the transfer window has closed?! Shambles.

Schumacher to Everton?
Maybe they have sounded him out and he was non committal to Stoke
Who knows, its mad.
Hope they have somebody lined up already mind, we cant just float along for 3-4 weeks losing ground and/or dropping into trouble.

That's me done with this joke of a club! Absolutely toxic. If you didn’t suspect this was the likely outcome when Walters was appointed full time I fear your instincts are incredibly poor. Probably a foolish move involving you in a thread but what makes you say that? Genuinely interested.

Not surprised. If we’ve reached the tipping point it’s no use waiting for months to make the decision. We’ve dillied and dallied too much in the past. Best get it done straightaway.

😲 Wasn't expecting that just yet.... But I think it would have come eventually!!!
We HAVE to get it right next time... Personally, I'd like someone in the mold of West Brom's manager, who keeps getting them up there with little or no money to spend!!!

Look at the decisions this club has made for the last decade, we’re fucked.

We're an absolute disgrace Why? How many times have people on here moaned about the club taking too long to make decisions. I don’t think he was a great appointment to begin with and never convinced with tactics and results so I’ll not shed any tears I think with most people it’s not so much that they’ve sacked him now just more like it seems like as a club we have no real direction anymore and everything is done haphazardly. Now if we were to replace him with some like Potter etc then it will be a good thing. The worry is we just keep repeating ourselves as we’ve done with the last few appointments.
