Powell said Moore had told him who took the bracelet but was sworn to secrecy to protect whoever it was. Tina was seething and said she didn't believe that for a minute. Powell had been a family friend of the Moores. But he never mentioned anything about this until after he'd died. She also pointed out at that point they were very close and their marriage was strong. If there was anything to tell he'd have told her. She was distressed by it and appalled he'd use it for self promotion. |

As a guy who believes God is made up and the monarchy need putting in a bin, I couldn't give a fuck about the national anthem and whether anyone wants to sing it or not. If anything, it needs changing and then I might think about it. Sweet Caroline maybe? |

What shit do you have to do to win one of those dubious honours? Many are disgraced crooks and paedos. What about the bitch that headed up the Post Office. Anyone that takes one of these honours is selling their souls to perpetuate the bent corrupt system I worked with an engineer in Taiwan who got one... for services to Highland bridges. Turns out he was recommended by several people in the highland communities of Scotland for his 25yrs of designing/building bridges to connect remote communities. It's a bit of a kick in the bollox to those people if he had turned it down. A real unassuming guy..he was only in Taiwan part-time working as a consultant for the insurers. He was still working full time for the council in Scotland. Also, two guys in Thailand I know have MBE's for services to UK overseas. These two are a little more of a patronage in the sense that they worked closely with the UK ambassador in Thailand so had a cosier relationship with the nominees. That's not to say they didn't deserve them. |

WTF has a national anthem, which are designed to divide us, got to do with any sporting event. Least of all one about a jug eared tw^t with more German blood in him than any of the people he reigns over - not that it matters. They are bloody stupid, I would never sing one, they all need fecking off and are boring. How do you determine German blood ? Philip, his father was from Greek and Danish heritage, served for this country in the Royal Navy in the 2nd world war. Elizabeth, his mother was born in London, her parents were born in London as well as were her grandparents, her grandad the King, born in London, served in the Royal Navy. With each parent and grandparent etc isn't the DNA diluted, 50%, then 25% etc ? So how many lines of parentage need to be born in the country before they become English/British ? |

Looking at the true meaning, not the right wing definition that's used as a negative towards folk with morals and decency, then I hope my kids and every single person I come into contact with in the future is woke.

They changed their name from Saxe Coburg-Gotha to Windsor during the first world war, Germanic families had been 'ruling' England for about 250 years before that. Philips mother was from the house of Battenburg (nice cakes tbf). There's an absolute abundance of German blood. I’m not a fan of our national anthem in its present form. But didn’t we fight 2 world wars and a Cold War in order to preserve our freedom. So if Carsley prefers not to sing the national anthem that’s his choice. It’s the same with footballers choosing not to wear a Poppy logo in November, whilst I don’t agree with them not doing so, it's their choice. A few years ago, I can’t remember who it was, but they refused to appear on the one show on BBC just before Remembrance Sunday because they were told they had to wear a Poppy.
